Chapter 24
I got outside and I looked around. Where in the hell am I? Around me was forest. Why am I in the middle of nowhere and why is everything here in the middle of nowhere. I sighed and looked around and saw little animals running here and there. The trees were starting to shed their leaves and become winter ones. The sky was greying. The wind howled from my right, pushing my hair in my face. I breathed in the cool air and tried to calm myself. I wandered around the trees and I looked around at the pretty sight. My heart decreased from earlier and suddenly I felt very calm. Any irrational things are going to come and bite me back in the ass. Starting with a tiny problem... I'm lost. I looked around as my heart race started to increase once more. Knowing that I wouldn't get anywhere by just running around, I did the most obvious answer ever. I ran around. Now, I know I look like I'm being idiotic but what am I supposed to do? Go further into the woods? Hah! Funny, I'd get myself even more lost than before. "Hello!" I called out as my voice echoed through the trees. "Anyone hear me? I'm lost!" I shouted.
☆彡Many minutes later, I sighed as I sat on my butt and played with the grass. I managed to get my dumb ass lost. Great. My throat was scratchy from the screaming and running around. I saw the sun starting to set and the sky seemed red. It fades out into a very light pink. I blink as I lay down. "Seriously Aralynn? What's with all the screaming?" A familiar voice asked. I shot up and looked at the person. Crash. I looked at him with disbelief.
"You heard me and didn't come to get me? I thought I was going die alone, lost, and starving." I said, exasperated. I poured and patted my stomach. He cocked an eyebrow towards me.
"You thought you were lost?" He asked as if it were almost unbelievable. I nodded at him. He laughed and he fell to the floor as I looked at him in confusion.
"What?" I asked defensively. He laughed even harder and he rolled around.
"Y-you actually t-thought you were l-lost!" He stuttered. My eyebrows went inwards as I looked at him in confusion. "You're literally three minutes away," he laughed, trying to catch his breath. My eyes widened and my face turned bright red.
"Shut up," I said, automatically. I huffed as I crossed my arms and looked away. I saw Crash sit up and wipe his tears, in the corner of my eyes.
"Oh come on, lighten up," he said, chuckling. I huffed once more.
"Says the one who's always in a foul mood," I grumbled as I looked at him. We caught eyes and we sat there. The wind blew past me, pushing my hair back.
"There you guys a-," a voice said behind me. I jumped up and looked behind me, with wide eyes. I looked towards Crash and he cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his neck. His face was tinted with red. "Was I interrupting something?" The girl said. She was one of the nurses because she had a white dress on and a cap. It was plain but hid all her curves. I knew was very skinny because she still looked thin. She had big green eyes and locks of brownish red hair.
"No no," I assured as I got up but I did a little stumble. I heard a chuckle behind me and I turned my head to give him a glare.
"Are you sure?" She cocked a perfect eyebrow. I nodded my head, frantically. "Ok... Well I'm here to tell you that your friend had woken up and she's waiting," she says. My eyes widened and I shot up. She nodded and twirled on the ball of her foot. She walked away with me following her.
When we got to the door, I opened it to see a sitting Evie. He head snapped towards me. "Are you ok?" She asked and I looked at her in disbelief.
"You're asking if I'm ok?" I asked. She nodded very slowly. "You stupid sister, you're the one who got hurt," I said in disbelief.
"I thought you got hurt," she said but stayed quiet. I shook my head and she yawned.
"Get some rest we have to go school tomorrow," I said as I started walking out.
"Okay," I heard her mumble before I shut the door. Crash stood there and I groaned.
"What? You're going to need someone show you the way back to the dorms," he said, showing some hurt. I groaned again but my heart rate increased. I wonder if it's audible... Probably not. We walked out of the hospital into the silent woods.
Probably ten minutes of walking, we finally arrived at the dorms and we said our good nights. As I walked into the building, I snuggled into his jacket. The familiar sight of my dorm door came into view. I pushed the door open and I saw everything there was the same as we left it. I, lazily, went towards the bathroom to have a warm shower.
Finishing up, I went to find my brush but it wasn't there. I sighed because I was too tired to look for it, I went to borrow Evie's. I walked towards her bag but something velvety caught my eye. It was blue and a strip. It stuck out like a sore thumb. I inched closer to it, hoping it wasn't what I thought it was. When I was in view of it, my stomach dropped because it knew then and there. I was betrayed once more.
