Chapter 20
I stumbled back and stared at her. "You don't believe me?" She asked and I shook my head, slowly."You don't look like me and you are a separate person," I whisper. She pulled up her sleeve to show a small scar, in the exact spot as mine. It was the same size.
"This was from when we fell and scraped ourself from the bed," she whispered. She was correct.
"How? Why?" I asked and she shrugged. She sat on the bed and laid down.
"All I know is that mom and dad ran away to hide is from the government. We aren't supposed to be here," she sighed.
"Why didn't they just take me than?" I asked, wide eyed.
"They are not sure whether you're the real deal or your a fake," she said. No emotion showed on her face.
"This is crazy," I shook my head. She nodded. "How come I don't remember this, though?" I asked.
"You probably suppressed the memory and I did, at first," she said. My head raced as I tried to shuffle through my brain for any small detail. Nothing.
"How did you remember?" I asked, a rush of pain ran through her facial features. She cringed as she took a minute.
"Two years ago..." She took a deep breath before she continued," my boyfriend and I went onto a h-hill. We were having a g-great time and just as we w-were about to leave, h-he slipped and f-fell off to his d-death. I watched a-and ran to him b-but a pain came to my h-head and all t-these memories c-came back. I s-screamed. Sirens w-were filled my ears b-but the memories were still coming" she stuttered. I walked over and hugged her. She curled into a ball and hung onto my arm.
"Shh, it's ok," I whispered. I patted her head as she sobbed. She stayed in that position for several minutes before she composed herself. She sat up and looked at me with with a tear stained face.
"Thanks," she said but it was barely a whisper. I nodded and smiled at her.
"We're sisters," I cheered. Her head snapped towards me.
"We're the same person," she said. I smiled and shook my head.
"Nope, we aren't the same. We are related and sisters," I said. She smiled but shook her head.
"Your body was the real body, I was just a failed copy. I'm normal at fighting," she whispered. I laughed and shrugged.
"I don't care about that. We are related whether you were apart of me or not. You're beautiful and you are probably amazing at fighting," I complimented. Her eyes narrowed.
"I'm starting to feel like you are complimenting yourself more than me," she said, suspicious. I laughed and winked at her.
"Maybe I am," I smirked. She laughed and pushed me, playfully. "But seriously, you are your own person now. What is done is done and I'm fine with it," I smiled. She grinned ear to ear and hugged me. "About your boyfriend, he wasn't your fault," I said, softly. She squeezed me tighter.
"Thanks Lynn," she whispered and I nodded.
"You're welcome Eves," I smiled. "You want to go get ice cream?" I asked and her eyes lit up.
"Fuck yes!" She shouted. I love ice cream. Give me that and a batch of cookies and I'd love you forever.
"Cookie dough ice cream here we come!" We both shouted and looked at each other and laughed.
"Hey have you dated anyone?" Evie asked. I thought for a moment and nodded.
"A guy named Luke. He was a dickhead. He did for a bet and to get in my pants. That was two years ago though," I laughed. She hugged me and then she looked at me wide eyed.
"That means we were dating two guys at once without cheating... Well technically," she laughed and I rolled my eyes at her comment. Typical me.
We were outside of the ice cream parlor and as we opened the door, a burst cool air brushed us. She sweet, sticky fragrance hit us and we groaned in pleasure to the smell. We went into the line and grinned. "Hello ladies, how can I help you," a blonde surfer guy, might I say was in high school, grinned. We nodded.
"Two cookie doughs and a large," we said at the same time. The guy looked at us, wide eyed. We may not look like we could eat that much but trust me, it'll be gone as soon as we get it.
"Okay! Anything else," he asked as a gleam went brought his eye. Horny high schoolers. I looked at Evie and she made the same face.
"No that's all!" I smiled as best I could but it just didn't reach my eyes. He handed us our ice cream and we payed. We, happily, ate the ice cream and walked out. The sun started to set and the sky displayed an array of colors. I watched in awe. It was beautiful. Evie grinned and pulled me away from the store. I looked at her confused as she pulled me in the opposite direction of the school.

We sat on the beach, just eating our ice cream and watching the waves pull up towards our feet. It tickled our feet but only the rim. I wonder what mom and dad are doing right now. That's when reality slapped me in the face. Who took my ribbon and where are my parents. "Lynn? What's wrong?" Evie asked. I shook my head and smiled.
