Chapter 4
Flashback Dream
I sat in my mom's bed room as mom got ready for some party she calls social event. My hair was curled in perfect rolls. I had a really pretty bow in my hair but mom looked prettier than me. Mom smiled at me through the mirror. She turned around and faced me. She kneeled down and held my face."Honey?" She asked with a serious face. I looked at her, waiting.
"Yes mommy?" I asked, attentively. Mom rubbed my face as her hand encompassed my small face.
"Promise mommy that you will do anything in your power to hide your score. Also, if anything happens today you need to be strong," my mom says. I was confused and I scrunched my eyebrows up.
"Ok, mommy. I promise," I said going cheerful once again. Mom giggles and holds out a hand.
"Ok than, are you ready to go now baby?" She asks as my head bobs up and down, rapidly. I didn't know what her words meant but I figured out later that day...
Darkness appeared. It was warm and cozy... No it was hard and cold. I mumbled as I started to open my eyes. Lights were casted in my eyes. I blink and cringe at the brightness. I turned my head and looked around. It was a dark, empty stone room. Where am I? I tried to get up but hiss because of the stinging pain at my side. "Damn it," I curse. What the hell are these people's problem. The door cracked open and I looked at who entered. You have got to be kidding me.
"Hello, Aralynn. How are you?" The guy from before asked. I narrowed my eyes at him and sneered at him.
"What the hell is wrong with you? You freaking let the guy shock me for a minute straight!" I shouted, burning with fury. He lifted his eyebrow as in disbelief.
"You do know you were shocked for 3 minutes before you passed out right?" He asked. I looked at him, disbelievingly.
"I was?" I asked with shock evident in my voice.
"Yes, and do you know that a normal person can't go that long. Hell I can't even go that long," the guy, I still don't know the name to, said. My eyes widened at his statement. Surely he can't know...
"Can I leave?" I asked. He tsked me multiple times.
"Unfortunately no," he said. I try to move past him but ended up blocked with his narrowed blue eyes staring me down. I wasn't thinking straight.
"Why? Why would you need me I'm no use. I probably be the lowest level Guard," I lied. He looked at me for a moment and turned towards the door. That's my chance...
"Unfortunately, I don't be-" he said but was caught off guard when I attacked him from behind. I made him land on the floor and I ran while he was still disabled. "No! Guards get her. We can't afford to lose her!" He screams. I about to make it towards the door when I'm blocked by a tall, beautiful woman. She had fiery red hair and the most iridescent green eyes. Her stare held no warmth.
"Crash," she ordered and he shot up. So his name is Crash. She put her finger down and he went into a kneeling form. She walked towards him, slowly. She started playing with his hair and he remained emotionless. "Crash, do you know what happens when you fail? You failed to this girl too. What happens?" She said rubbing his face as she neared his face. He sucked in a deep breath.
"I am punished," he answers with no falter. She smiles at him and kisses his cheek.
"Good, so you know what will happen? I didn't appreciate what happened. I have to take of her now," she says. He nodded and looked down to the floor. What the hell is happening? I stood aghast at her action. Who the hell is she and why does she treat him that way?
"Headmistress, will you please stop the punishment? I'll do anything," he pleaded. Headmistress? What the hell is wrong with this school? What punishment?
"Anything? Crash you said anything?" She asked, slyly. He nods. She tsked at him. "Well than, what's the point of a punishment?"
"Please, just this once," he begs. She smiles and looks at him intently.
"Ok just this once," she says. She grips his face, hard. I stood there puzzled by what's happening. She's treating him like a pet. Finally, I snap out of my daze and I took a step.
"What the hell are you doing to him? He's a student. The principal shouldn't be able to hurt a student," I accused. She turned around with a amused face.
"Aralynn do-" he says but is cut off by her talking.
"It is your fault. Hey this will be your first punishment. You get to watch me punish him," she grinned. I looked at her in shock. This school is horrible.
"Who said I'm joining this school?" I sneered and she just smiles. She holds out an envelope that was familiar. I stare at her in shock. Why?
"You're sick," I sneered.
"Oh but maybe you are," she said back and I clenched hands by my side.
"You know, the reason we couldn't find your parents is because..." She taps her chin as if to think of something to say. "Ahhh. It's quite simple really. They. Are. Dead. " she smiled in enjoyment. I shook my head and stared at her. She wasn't just sick or mental. She was a monster...
