The large and beautiful garden sat still in Valerie's backyard, roses, daffodils, daisies, and many more flowers complimenting the beautiful trees and green grass that grew in the fall time.

"Wesley calm down!" Valerie shouted desperately at her boyfriend as he smashed another flower pot onto the ground.

"Don't fucking tell me to calm down, you fucking idiot." He replied approaching his foot shorter than him girlfriend.

Standing tall Valerie didn't back down, "You don't know the situation." Valerie said deadly staring up into her boyfriends brown eyes.

"He's dead." He replied gripping onto Valerie's arm, pulling up her sleeve he brutally grabbed her arm and violently threw it towards her, "He did that and don't even lie to me."

"I cut myself jumping a fucking fence I told you!" She screamed back shoving her scarred arm up to his face.

"I don't believe you, that fucking piece of shit is dead."

"Wesley, drop it. He didn't do anything to me."

Wesley chuckled, putting his hands on his hips he spit on the floor then looked back up at Valerie who was more than determined to get him to calm down.

"Why the fuck are you defending him huh? Is he your little boyfriend now?"

"What?" Valerie asked in disbelief,

"You fucking heard me, you two fucking now or something?"

"You're an idiot Wesley." Valerie said in disgust.

"You're not leaving me for some loser." He shouted pushing Valerie roughly, she fell on the floor in front of broken pot shards.

Her heart burning with fear and anger as she gripped onto a shard that was behind her with her hand, "I barely even know him." She replied quickly standing back up, keeping the shard shard behind her back so he wouldn't see.

"Exactly you barely even fucking know him yet you're already best friends with the fucking guy?"

"Shut up Wesley." She warned gripping onto the shard tighter, the frustration within her almost bursting.

Sighing he grabbed his face with both his hands before throwing his arms around Valerie.

Hugging her tightly he stroked her hair in a soft manner, not hugging him back she dropped the shard back onto the floor without him knowing,

"I just want to protect you, you don't understand, you're beautiful but you're sick and people will take advantage of that."

Escaping his grip Valerie fixed her hair, "I'm sick am I?"

"Babe, I didn't mean it like that."

"Then how did you fucking mean it?"

"You're manic babe, you have mood swings and episodes every now and then, and only I can protect you." He said sympathetically trying hard to sound like she needed him.

Crossing her arms against her chest Valerie offered him a small smile before answering with uncertainty, "I love you."

"I love you too babe." Wesley responded.

The two of them standing at a distance, Valerie nodded her head, "My dad wanted to talk to you inside, he told me to send you in earlier."

Running his hand through his hair he turned his back to walk towards the backyard door of the house until he disappeared inside.

The atmosphere changed once Wesley went inside and Valerie felt like she could finally breath again, taking her cellphone out of her pocket she dialed Nick's number but was sent to voicemail right away.

She didn't like Nick, it was too soon, yeah he was cute but she didn't know him like she knew Wesley. She loves Wesley but then she doesn't. She's manic. And her emotions and feelings will always be a constant battle for someone like her.
