"Valerie, stop your singing." Lillian warned tousling her blonde hair back with her hands.

Valerie although constrained attempted to shrug, "I think I sound nice." She replied then continued to sing her favorite song by SZA.

"I'll slice you open." Lillian warned glaring at the chained up Valerie from across the wide and empty room.

"Go ahead I've been slicing myself open for the past four years-" Valerie didn't even finish before being rudely interrupted.

"How did your boyfriend manage to do all of that?" Lillian asked during Valerie's mid-sentence.

Valerie frowned at how impolite she was being, "Nick has no limit when he's angry." She sharply replied to her.

"What do you mean?" Lillian egged on for answers as she inched towards her hostage with the knife in her hand.

Smirking Valerie scoffed, "I don't know but he's pretty scary when he's really mad."

Lillian's face contorted into a scowl, "Nevertheless I still plan to kill him in front of you, and when he gets here-"

"What will happen if he kills you?" Valerie interrupted her as well, a genuine question that had been in her head.

"He won't." Lillian replied trying to reassure herself more than Valerie.

"And if he does? Hypothetically speaking of course." Valerie questioned with her mocking and aggravating demeanor.

"My family will kill him, it's simple Valerie."  She retaliated feeling a bit on edge as she was beginning to get lost in thought.

"But your family doesn't even know you're doing this right now do they?"

Lillian paused for a second to stare into Valerie's blank eyes, "What are you-"

Valerie giggled slightly, "So if Nick kills you right now they wouldn't know who did it because you didn't tell them where you were going."

"You don't know a thing sweetheart." Lillian responded with a heavy sigh while she walked away and began to pace again.

Valerie bit on her lower lip and raised her left eyebrow, "I don't? Because it sure does seem like if you don't kill me you're not going to have any type of satisfaction when you die." She tried to shrug, "Because when Nick gets here, you're going to die. Regardless."

"Can you shut up for five seconds-" Lillian shouted before regaining her calm demeanor again.

Valerie began to sing again while she watched her captor inch closer and closer.

"Can I help you?" Valerie asked in a condescending voice, to which Lillian briefly smiled before hitting her on the head with her elbow sending Valerie into darkness.

Valerie awoke minutes later, for some reason she was drenched in water but free to move, it took her a while to realize she wasn't chained up anymore.

Standing up from the floor Valerie walked towards the door ready to leave but what she saw when she opened the door leading to the other room.

"Babe." She cried out running into his arms, holding her tightly against his body he could hear her sniffling.

"You killed her." She said softly realizing her face was now stained with blood from burying her face into his chest.
