Nick's crippling alcohol dependency made Valerie cringe at this point.

But she didn't say a word to him.

She liked him crazy and wild.

Just like he liked her insane and innocent.

He looked so cool to her at that very moment, leaning back in the driver seat of his car, smoking his menthol flavoured cigarette, while having his matte black flask was laid on his lap.

Dark hair draped over his grey eyes, and his perfectly chiseled jaw lined with darkened unshaved stubble.

Dressed in a white tee and blue jeans, striking a resemblance to James Dean.

It was completely wrong for Valerie to even romanticize his behaviour, however she knew it was wrong but she couldn't help but be drawn to his mysterious allure.

But the silence had been engulfing them and the distinctive whispers in her head were getting louder by the passing seconds.

So instead of speaking up and making a difference she just added to the trouble by taking his hand in hers.

Further clouding up his already deranged and disillusioned thoughts he smirked at the sight of their completely different hands.

Valerie's hands were small, soft, manicured and clear from any ink while Nick's were the complete opposite.

So different, yet so similar.

Just like eachother, so different, yet so similar.

His cool grey eyes glared over at her in the passanger seat, but in response she just smiled meekly back at him.

"Why?" He finally asked her, his deep voice cutting the silence that was lingering around them.

She shrugged her shoulder and retreated her hand away from his, "I was trying to be friendly and say thanking you for letting me hang out with you today since Johnny hasn't answered my calls."

Nick shook his head and chuckled lightly, "All you're doing is hurting me, so chill."

"Hurting you?" She rhetorically exclaimed, "Says the one who totally replaced me for some pretty goddess looking ass bitch who turned out to be the biggest cunt hole in-"

Nick suddenly cut Valerie off by squeezing both of her cheeks tightly with his hand causing her lips to protrude outwards.

He smiled at her to which she smacked his hand away, "Don't touch me." She grumbled massaging her cheeks and lips.

"Let me finish my cigarette, and then I can go get my money from Vanessa so we can meet up with Marco and then leave okay? Stop being so grumpy."

She shook her head, "You know what Nick?"

"What?" He asked kindly while lowering his window to toss the cigarette out.

"You can go suck the fattest dick in the world right now, I swear to God I hate you."

Rolling his eyes and leaning back against his seat he sighed deeply, "You're so annoying."

"And you're aggravating."

Shaking his head they both grew silent again, until the opportunity to embarrass Valerie came up and Nick didn't want to just waste it.

"Remember last night?" He asked nonchalantly to which Valerie's eyes widened.

"A little." She cautiously replied.

"I was so fucked I can't remember a single thing."

Putting a piece of her long hair behind her ear she looked at her feet, the light red hue on her cheeks growing by the second.
