Tommy managed to chuckle, Valerie feeling slightly discouraged bumped the barrel of the gun to his head, "Money. We want it."
Nick felt frozen. He didn't want to move Valerie because she was high. And careless.
The girl was capable of anything at the moment.
Nick examined Tommy who's hands were laid flat on the desk table.
"Nick," he breathed out, "Control her or we'll have problems."
Valerie shoved the gun tighter against his skull, "Control me? You must be out of your fucking mind."
"Valerie, gun down." Nick said softly, Valerie turned her head and smiled, "No. We need money."
Nick took a step towards his girlfriend who was shaking from either all of the drugs or from being a nervous mess.
"You said it yourself. We need money if we want to leave." She silently whispered towards Nick, her eyes were red like the devil and her pupils heavily dilated.
"Nick." Tommy chimed in, a huge smile on his face.
"Valerie, please. I was wrong to say we should come here. I promise we'll figure the money out just put the fucking gun down."
"I'm doing this for you, Nick you know I won't hesitate to blow this guy's head off."
"I know. So do not hesitate to put the gun down."
Valerie swallowed her spit and looked back down at Tommy who had a smug look on his face. He began to snicker
until it had became full blown laughter. And with that Valerie lifted the gun and hit him on the head with the solid metal butt of it.
Tommy unconsciously fell face down onto his desk, hitting his head roughly on the wood.
Nick exhaled and gave Valerie the biggest glare before automatically taking the gun away from her, lodging it into the front of jeans between his pants and boxers. Grabbing a hold of Valerie's arm he shoved her in front of him with her back against a wall, he glared down at her, she pouted as she raised her hand up to place on his chest, she attempted to push him away but he just raised an index finger to his lips and furrowed his brows.
Valerie nodded in understanding.
Nick cautiously opened the door to leave Tommy's office, seeing no one in the hall he pulled Valerie in front of him and gripped onto her arm tightly, she felt like crying out in pain but held it in as they continued to make their way down the empty hall.
The sound of old school rap probably Nas filled the air, along with the fear and intensity of being caught.
Nick could careless about himself being hurt, but Valerie was with him. So he had to protect her no matter what.
They almost reached the exit when Mickey came out from a door way, he smiled at them, "Stay for a bit dawg, you know how we get down." Mickey offered taking a large joint from his pocket and dangling it in front of the teenagers.
"Nah man, I got to get her home so maybe next time." Nick quickly responded, he turned the knob to the large door and they both shuffled out only to run down the dark and damp alley like idiots with nothing but lovely adrenaline coursing through their pulsating veins.
They stopped running once they reached Nick's favorite diner where he and his mom used to go to when he was a kid, this was also the place he and Valerie met at the first time they hung out.

"You haven't spoken to me." Valerie mumbled before taking a drink of her coke.
She had her arms folded across the table, her finger tips stirring her straw around in the coke.
