A crude laugh escaped Nick's parted chapped lips.
Leaning against the door he crossed his arms and just stared at Vanessa who was seated at the edge of their bed, he looked at the girl in pure annoyance while she continued to ignore him and text rapidly on her phone.
"Give me my keys." He hissed at her once more, she shook her head but payed no attention to him while she kept moving her thumbs quickly on her phones screen.
Licking his bottom lip Nick threw his head back and groaned, "I'm not fucking joking. Give me my car keys."
"Not until you tell me." She said crossing her legs, still not breaking the concentration on her phone.
She cracked a smile which made Nick scoff.
"Give me my keys, or I'll fucking set your makeup on fire."
She stopped texting and glared at him, "Tell me what happened between you two."
He rolled his eyes, "I'm so tired of this. You've been acting like a brat for two weeks already, let it go."
She shook her head, tossing her phone beside her she sighed, "Just tell me and I'll give you your stupid keys."
"Why do you want to know?" He asked angrily pushing himself off the door and pacing over to her.
She stared up at him, her perfectly thick eyebrow raised up at him, "You have never told me anything about your stupid life. Nothing Nick. Absolutely nothing."
He shook his head, "It isn't important."
"How is it we've been together for this long and I don't know shit about you? You could be a fucking murderer or a drug dealer."
He chuckled.
Little did she know.
"Just tell me what happened between you and little miss psycho."
Nick rolled his eyes and walked away from her, she didn't know herself that he was "psycho" too.
"We dated a while back. Briefly." He admitted leaning against the door again.
Vanessa cringed at the news.
"What was it like? What was she like?" She began to ask frantically out of curiosity.
Nick shook his head and chuckled, "You're just wanting to get your feelings hurt aren't you."
Vanessa got up, stepping to him. Her leather knee high boots echoing through the room as she stepped on the hardwood floor, "Tell me."
He licked his bottom lip again, "I loved her. It was an adventurous relationship," he paused for a second, "But it obviously didn't last."
Vanessa glared, and she glared hard, her deep brown eyes etched onto his gray ones that were so drained she couldn't even see any type of guilt in them.
"Sounds like you miss her." She said sarcastically while turning away from her boyfriend who did nothing but smirk in return.
"Keys." He demanded suddenly but she shook her head and softly asked, "Do you miss her?"
He looked at her, her back turned towards him while her bottom lip quivered.
He stopped himself from truthfully replying when he came into realization on how he truly felt about Vanessa.
He didn't love her.
He loved how stable and normal she was.
From his childhood up to this day Nick never knew what stability and normality was until his life with Vanessa.
