Yato is a rather unknown god, but he plans to make it big someday. He has no shrine, and his weapon just quit on him, so he is not doing so good. While looking for a lost cat, Yato almost gets hit by a truck, but a middle school girl named Hiyori pushes him out of the way. Hiyori is suddenly exposed to the world of gods and phantoms as her near-death experience makes her into a half- phantom.
My thoughts: Fantastic show! The characters are amazing, and the plot is thrilling. The romance is extremely subtle, but I really loved it! The show had some slightly creepy monsters, but other than that it was a truly awesome show.
