As a kid, Mashiro had the dream of becoming a manga artist, but when his manga artist uncle died he gave up on the dream. Now in his last year of junior high (9th grade) he meets Takagi, the smartest guy in their grade, who wants Mashiro to draw for a manga he had written. Mashiro is hesitant, but when he meets with the girl he has a crush on, Azuki Miho, and the two of them promise that when Mashiro writes a manga that becomes an anime Azuki is going to be the voice actress of the lead and then they will get married, Mashiro is suddenly on board for creating manga. Takagi and Mashiro go off to try for their goal, but they soon find that making a winning manga is a lot harder than they thought.

My thoughts: This show was amazing and extremely well done. It doesn't have fighting, but the story still reels you in and makes you anxious. Through all 75 episodes, I never got board and the plot never dragged on. The characters are amazing! Other than the main two guys, there six other great manga artists who are some of the greatest characters I have seen in anime. You've got two partially insane artists, a hard core tough guy, two composed girls, and a fat guy who is obsessed over women. The three romances that happen in the series were all amazing as well, and they were very different from one another. You have the quiet couple, the semi-normal couple, and the polar opposites. I would definitely suggest this show to others.
