The Tsuchimikado Family is renouned in mage ability, until Yakou ruins their name and causes spirit disasters all around the country. Generations later they are still struggling to get their good name back. Natsume is from the head family and is acceling in magic as she tries to return their good name. There's also a rumor that she's the reincarnation of Yakou. Harutora Tsuchimikado is the exact opposite of his cousin, he has no mage abilities at all. He is pushed into the magic world by his friends Touji and Hokuto, and ends up gaining magic abilities as he becomes Natsume's familiar.
My thoughts: I absolutely love this show. I feel like they perfectly blended action, fantasy, and romance. I have watched this show twice through, and would gladly watch it again and again.
