Fafner is a type of machine that protects the island that the characters live on. An alien species of a sort has taken over the earth, and the island is one of the only untouched places. The main character is chosen to be the pilot and this story is his and his friends' story.
My thoughts: It was a cool idea, but it kind of dragged on.
