The hunters are the world's major crime fighting force. Being a hunter is a massive honor, one extremely hard to get. Twelve year old Gon wants to become a hunter so he can meet his father who is a hunter. He sets off to the exam with nothing but his fishing rod (coolest weapon ever invented), his backpack, and his dream. With the help of his friends Kurapika, Leorio, and Killua (my favorite character) he sets off on his journey.
My thoughts: this show is amazing. It has the same light hearted atmosphere that you get in shows like One Piece and Fairytail, with a distinct ending (something One Piece doesn't have) and awesome characters. The characters have amazing depth to them, same with the plot. I really think this is one of the best anime shows ever made.
