When Ciel Phantomhive was younger, his parents were murdered and his home destroyed. Some mysterious things were done to his body and he met a demon who desired to make a contract. This demon made a contract to serve Ciel until his revenge was taken, and then the demon would eat Ciel's soul. The contract was made and the newly named demon Sebastion became Ciel's butler on his quest for revenge. Having regained his status and home, Ciel, along with Sebastian, are now punishing evil-doers in the name of Queen Victoria and trying to discover who killed Ciel's parents.
My thoughts: Those of you who have followed my sight for a while know I wrote a negative review on Black Butler a few months ago. I had only watched the first two episodes when I wrote that, and I was extremely creeped out by the show. Last week I decided to give it another chance, and I have changed my opinion of the show. It is violent and dark, but the characters are awesome and the plot is very thrilling, so if you don't mind violence this is a great show.
