Top Manga that goes beyond anime series: (The ones that the animes aren't going to continue)
1. Pandora Hearts (completed)- If you're like me, you enjoyed the anime series but were disappointed in the final episode. That episode isn't even written into the manga and the manga stretches out to 104 chapters that ends in one of the most satisfying endings ever. The real meat of this series and the straight up brilliance created by the manga writer takes place after the anime ended. Seriously, even if you didn't watch the show, this manga is worth your time.
2. Yona of the Dawn- This anime is my favorite, but I felt unsatisfied with the ending because so many things were unanswered. The anime was incredible, but it captures a mere sliver of this incredible story. The manga is currently at 134 chapters and is ongoing. I love this anime and love the manga even more. If you liked Akatsuki no Yona, you will absolutely love this manga.
3. Noblesse- The anime adaptation of this show is annoying. The creators made two 40 minute OVA's that for some strange reason "adequately" captures a story line that is more than 440 chapters long. This story is amazing, so please don't judge it based only on the OVA's. The humor, action, and heart behind this story can only be truly experienced by reading the full manga series.
4. Magi- I must admit this wasn't my favorite anime, but if you like it, you'll love the manga. The manga goes so much farther than the anime. I really appreciated the fact that all my questions about the future (ex. what happens with Hakyruu) was answered in the manga. It's still ongoing, so Magi fans read this. Also, If you like the prologue anime about Sinbad that was released last year, you can read the rest of the series in its manga form.
5. 07 Ghost (completed)- this anime was cool, a little under- appreciated by anime lovers (in my opinion). The rest of the series is layed out in the manga, and it is wonderful. I wasn't a tremendous fan of the anime, but I love the manga. Fantastic.
6. Karneval- I loved this anime but I wanted them to make more than twelve episodes. I was delighted to discover that the series continues and is currently over 100 chapters long. Insanely good manga, the bulk of this amazing story can only be found after the anime ended.
7. The World is Still Beautiful- One of the most incredible animes ever made. For romantic-comedy lovers, this is one of the best. I loved this anime, rewatched it way too much. When I discovered how much of the plot extended beyond the anime, I was ecstatic. I strongly suggest people to read this manga.
8. Devils and Realist- Awesome anime made better by its manga. The manga can get a little strange at times (trust me everything you expect to happen doesn't) but it is definitely worth reading if you enjoyed the anime or if you just like cool action comedy stories.
9.Fruits Basket (completed)- I loved this anime for its lighthearted nature, great characters, and fantasy elements. The manga takes the entire series to a whole new level. All the things I wanted to know about (the other two zodiac members, Akito, how the romances develop, the zodiac curse, the story of Tohru's mother, etc) were all explained in the 130+ chapters of the manga. I can honestly tell you that I was in tears in the last few chapters because of how beautiful and conclusive an ending the manga artist created. If you liked to the anime, you need to read it! (just be aware the last episode of the anime doesn't exist in the manga).
Other continuations that are must reads if you liked the animes:
1. Noragami
2. D. Gray-man
3. Kamisama Kiss (Kamisama Hajimemashita)
4. Boku Hero Acadamia
5. Snow White with the Red Hair (Akagami no Shirayukihime)
