It was the next day and Kenny came over again to practice his training. "So, pretend I am a bad guy. What would you do?"

Kenny pulled out his phone. "I would call the police." Before he could call anyone I took the phone away.

I passed it to Jerry, who was playing with his stuffed animal. "Now I have your phone. What will you do?"

Kenny stretched his arms in front of his chest. "Try to take it back."

"Now I pulled out my gun." I said, taking one of Jeb's Nerf guns and pointing it at Kenny.

Kenny threw his wallet at me and held up his hands. "Here's my money take it and let me live."

"Really?" I asked trying not give him a pathetic look.

"I'm sorry I'm not the most athletic guy in here. I'm just afraid. All I am good at is running, since I am on the track team. And this training seem silly. I feel like I'm not doing anything useful." Kenny said putting his hands down.

He needed motivation. "Ok. Take your wallet back." I threw him his wallet.

Kenny caught it and sighed. "Thanks."

I brought the Nerf gun back up and pointed at him. "Punk give me your money!"

Kenny looked at me confused. "But you just gave it back."

I pulled Rory into a headlock as she walked by. "I said give me the money or the girl gets it."

Kenny's eyes grew. "Rory."

I continued to point the gun at him, acting like the goon from the alley where I met Faye. "Do you want the girl to die? Is that what you want?"

Kenny tried to calm me down. "Hey man just calm down.

"Don't tell me what to do. I will kill her." I said keeping eye contact with Kenny.

Kenny's eyes became dark at my threat. "Don't you lay a hand on her."

"Don't threaten me... I'm crazy." My plan was working. Kenny grabbed the gun from my hand and pointed it back me. Kenny was surprised at what he did.

"Ha. How was that?" He asked smiling at me.

I shrugged letting go of Rory. "Pretty good."

Rory punched me in the face. "Don't ever do that again." She walked over to Kenny, grabbed the Nerf gun and shot it at me. She turned and did the same to Kenny.

Rory handed me the gun and walked to her room. "Ok, let's practice again."

"So now let's work on your fighting skills. Punch me." I said standing in front of Kenny.

He started jumping up and down, trying to impersonate a boxer. "Ok, I'm sorry if this hurts you." He got his fist ready. I held up my hand, waiting for him to punch me.

His fist made contact with my hand. It felt like Rose pretending to punch me. "What are you, a bunny?" I asked trying not to laugh.

Kenny scoffed."Fine so me how you punch." He held up his hand, waiting for me to punch it. This was going to go no where if he kept this up. So I aimed for his face and gave the punch half my effort. "Holy shit. That hurt. Did you even aim for my hand?" He said stumbling back, gripping his nose.

I rolled my eyes. "The bad guys won't aim for your hands. They will kill. Now punch me." I held up my hand again.

He released his face, knowing for sure that he wasn't bleeding. "I feel bad. Do you have a dumby I could punch?"

"There is one in front of me." I said under my breath.

Kenny glared at me. "That was low." He said gripping his heart.

I walked to the closet with my equipment. "Let me get one."

"Now kick, kick, Punch, Punch, kick again." I said, opening a Coke and sitting down at the island next to Rory.

Kenny paused. "This is tiring. Isn't there anything else I can do?" He said, catching his breath.

"Push ups." I said, taking a drink. Rory laughed, keeping her head in her laptop.

"I'll stick to this then." Kenny said, continuing his practice.

This training went on for days. But he did seem to improve. Which is what I would need if I was going to have a partner.
