All of a sudden I hear a boy band song. I looked down at my pocket. It was my phone. Home. "Hello?" I said as I answered my phone.

"Hey, loser it's me." Rory said from the other end.

"Did you change my ringtone?" I asked, walking out of the alley.

"Why yes I did. N'sync. How do you like it?" I could hear the smugness in her voice.

"How do you know my password?" I asked as I walked into a deserted bathroom.

"That's not for you to find out." She laughed her fake evil laugh.

This was getting old. "Is there an emergency?"

She answered that question quickly. "We're out of food. So pick some up."

I face palmed as I washed some blood off of my side. "That's the emergency?"

"Yes it is." She is the smoothest talking person I know.

I guess I got hit with a bullet. Have you ever had that feeling? You know, when you realize you almost got shot in the side? "What do we need?"

She read off the list. "Eggs, bread, milk, cheese, fruit, beef jerky, and I need some more of my meds. Also I need feminine products. I got my period."

Too much information. "Fine, I'll see you later." The bullet wound was just a graze. A very small graze. But if people asked, I would definitely milk it out.

The trip didn't take long. Although it emptied out my wallet. The lady at the store gave me a suspicious look but said nothing. I might have been in my suit still but I really don't remember.

I got everything that Rory said to get. Two cartons of milk, loaf of bread, some cheese, assorted fruits, a bag of beef jerky. It was a little awkward grabbing the "things" Rory needed. I couldn't really get her meds, you know it being 11 at night so I will have to get them later.

Carrying home the bags, by myself, in the middle of the night was hard. I mean, even though I am a hero, carrying three bags full to the brim, it's not the best things ever. Also I had to hide my outfit in one of the bags. You know, so people don't know my secret identity.

Finally, the home stretch, I can see the door. The sky grew dark with ominous clouds covering the stars. I felt the first raindrop on my nose. It was coming down harder as I try to run with the bags. I saw someone opening the door. I shouted as they start to walk in. "Hey wait!" I said trying not to drop the bags.

"What do you want?" The person turned around. The lady from the alley.

I stared at her face. Her caramel skin shined with each glistening raindrop had the audacity to hit her. Her dark brown eyes glared over at me, I could see the determination just through her eyes. Her nose was as cute at a button. Her lips were plump, waiting for me to kiss them.

My eyes trailed down to her body. She was curvy, not skinny like a twig. She could stand her ground, like she did in the alley. Her feet were dainty, holding up the goddess that she was. Her hips went along with the curviness. Not to mention her boobs.

Wait... I was just staring at her, and she was staring back. Quick, think of something to say. "Could you hold the door?" I tried to motion with the bags.

Her angry face dropped. "I'm sorry, I thought you were someone else." She held the door open.

"Someone must have made you angry." I said without even thinking.

"There was just this one guy, who couldn't be a gentleman in a situation." She explained as she jabbed the button for the elevator. The same one I was going to.

Keep up the small talk. "That's kinda rude."

"I know! Then he wouldn't let it go!" She yelled as the elevator jerk up.

"Men like that deserve to be smacked." Did that just come out of my mouth? Whose side was I on? Obviously not on mine.

"Finally, someone who gets it!" She looked at me with a smile on her face.

I needed to ask her if she knows it was me. "Who was the guy?"
She shook her head. "I have no idea. Some guy in a mask." The elevator doors opened.

"Like some sort of hero?" I asked grabbing the bags. Nice and slick.

She grabbed one of them. "More like a dork." That hurt. We walked to my door.

"Well thanks for the help with the groceries." What unit does she live in?

She put the bag down. "No problem. This is going to make me sound so rude but what is your name?"

"It's Tobias." I smiled.

She returned the smile. "It is nice to meet you Tobias. What was that noise?" She looked at my door.

"That probably came from my unit. I got to go." I put my groceries down to grab my key.

"See you later." The girl smiled and walked to her unit two doors down. I stared at her until she was out of my site. The alley light did nothing for her. She was beautiful.
