Rory was sitting on the swivel chair when I came back into the main room. "Now how did everything feel? Not too tight anywhere?" She had a sewing kit ready.

"I think it was fine." I say as she examines every part of the suit that is touching my body.

"We need a different type of fiber for the sides of the shirt." She pulled the sides of the shirt.

I tried to remember. "It got scratched up from the jumping and ass kicking."

She saw the blood stain. "Ew, is that blood?" She picked at it.

I looked at the stain and shrugged it off. "I think so I got grazed by a bullet. "

Rory looked up at me. "I'm going to ask a question. If you don't answer it that's fine. "

"Ask away. " I said feeling my side.

She turned her chair so her back was to me. "How many people did you kill?"

"Only one." I mumbled.

She turned to me in disbelief. "Really? "

I looked at her. "Please don't tell the others."

"I won't. But if they were bad then I guess it was a good thing." She was one smart kid.

Maybe Rory would know what to do with this girl problem. "I saved a girl."

"Good for you." Rory stuck to work as she pulled off the shirt.
She is never not this nosey. I let some more information out. "I tried to kiss her."

Rory looked up at me in annoyance."And?"

I continued the story. "It didn't really work. We got in an argument. After I went to the store, I was walking into the building and I saw her."

Rory put the sewing equipment down. "Did she recognize you?"
I shook my head. "No, I don't think so. We started talking shit about me, like the Wanderer me, not me me."

She laughed. "Nice, who is the mysterious girl you tried to attack with your mouth?"

I told her. "She lives in the unit two doors down. Long black hair, darker skin, a goddess living on earth." That's an accurate description, a goddess.

Rory rolled her eyes. "How old is she?"

"She looks my age." She didn't look that much older than me.

Rory laughed. "That would be Faye Varanasi. She's a reporter for the newspaper. She's very headstrong. And you don't want to get on her bad side. But since you already did that, that's tough shit for you mister." Rory laughed harder than ever.

I looked at her sternly. "Watch your language."

She rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Like you don't swear."

"Don't make me put you to bed." This threat wouldn't work but it was worth a try.

Rory glared at me and rolled her eyes. "Like you would do that."

I laughed. "I probably won't, just hurry and get to bed."

Rory got up and rubbed her eyes. "Fine. I'll get it done by tomorrow night. Good night."
