Kenny was standing in the middle of the street. I walked up next to him. Before I could ask what happened Kenny answered. "He jumped out of the van and started to shoot at me. I kicked him in the face. Like I always do. Then he started to run and was hit by a huge truck. But he's dead." He said. He looked at the spot where Dan had been.
I patted him on the back. "I know it sounds bad, but to make this city a better place the bad people like him need to leave, how ever that may be. Besides, it wasn't your fault. The truck hit him." Kenny nodded, taking a deep breath in. He seemed to be back to normal.
Just I as finished my sentence some pushed me. It was a small stumble but I got myself back up within a second. I turned to face my attacker. "You can't keep destroying the city like this." Faye.
I smirked at her. "I'm saving people, like you... again. This is actually save number three." I said holding up three fingers.
Faye huffed. "It's not my fault I'm in the wrong place at the wrong time." She said under her breath.
"Well, I think you just want to see me all the time." I said taking a step closer to her.
Faye rolled her eyes. "You brought in a groupie of yours?" She asked pointing at Kenny.
I sighed. "He came to me and wanted to help. I tried to convinced him not to but."
"I'm glad I could help you madam." Kenny said, going to kiss Faye's hand.
Faye pulled her hand back in a flash. "Don't you dare." Faye made her way out of the scene and to the nearest subway.
"I've tried already." I said pushing Kenny back.
Before I knew it we were swarmed by news reporters. "Did you know that this attack would happen?"
"Are the Celon's your arch nemesis?"
"Are you working with the police?"
"Who is your new partner?"
"Who makes your suits?"
"Are you trying to take over the city?"
I held up my hands after wiping off my goggles from the rain. "Hold up everyone. One question at a time." I said, silencing the crowd.
"Who is this sidekick of yours?" One person broke the silence.
Kenny opened his mouth before I could. "Well I am actually his partner. And I am known as Vision Kick." You got to admit he knows how to work a crowd.
"Did you know that this robbery was going to happen?" Another reporter asked pushing her microphone closer to my face.
"We received a tip from an anonymous source that there was going to be a hit here tonight." I said, trying not to reveal too much.
"From whom?" Some guy asked trying to get his microphone to the top of the horde of microphones.
Is this guy stupid? "Do you not know the meaning of anonymous?" I asked him back. My sass level was too high, but I didn't care.
"So are you some kind of vigilante?" One reporter asked. A loud noise went off before I could answer the question.
