"So why did we have to wake up at 4 am on a Saturday morning?" Kenny yawned. It was about 12:30, and nothing has happened yet with the bank.
I rolled my eyes. "Because I'm not sure what time they are going to rob the bank but it will be today." That was the third time he had asked.
"Are you positive about the day? We have been here for 6 hours." Kenny said scratching under his mask.
I sighed. "Yes. You know Dan Celon right?"
Kenny nodded. "Yes. He was in some of my classes. The stupidest person ever. Felt bad for him. But we can't all share the intelligence that some of us are blessed with. Wait, is that what his post meant? I'm not a pussy ass bitch." Kenny kept rambling.
I hit him on the back of his head. "Will you be quiet? Do you remember your plan."
Kenny nodded. "Yeah, when all the action starts I go in the front. Distract him, then you distract him and then we are home free."
"Good. Now get ready." I said getting up from my spot.
"Why?" Kenny said, following me.
"Because the Celon's just walked into the bank." I said, trying to remain calm.
"I don't know if I can do this." Kenny said.
"You'll do fine. Pretend you're in a movie, just don't get shot." I said patting him on the back.
"Ok, I think I can do this." Kenny said, letting out a breath he had been holding on to.
"Keep the earpiece in." I said, splitting from Kenny and going around to the side. I walked over to the getaway car and slashed one of the tires. That's when I heard gunshots and screams. I made my way to a side door and slipped in, making sure not to be seen by anyone. There, I waited with a clear view of the lobby, where there were people on the ground. On cue Kenny walked into the lobby.
"Hey guys, you have to wait in line." Kenny said.
Dan turned to face Kenny. He looked scared. "Back up man!"
Kenny leisurely paced around the room. "Also it's not nice to take other people's things."
Dean shouted from the vault. "Dan, don't listen to him. Just grab a hostage."
Dan grabbed the closest person to him. "You, get up."
Kenny huffed a sigh. "Really? You're going to use a hostage?"
"Yes, now back up or she gets it. Wait that's not the guy." Dan said finally seeing it wasn't me.
Kenny pulled at his suit. "No I'm not the guy."
Dan laughed holding the woman close to him. "Wannabe. That costume is pretty ugly."
"You may think that I look like a loser, but it's really you and your brothers who are going to lose." We will need to work on that hero talk. Kenny wasn't the best that this.
"Why is that?" Dan defiantly asked.
That's my cue. "Because I'm here."
Dan turned to see I was right next to him. "Dean, Don! He's here!"
I took a step closer to him. "Celon brothers. I think you have had enough fun rampages. It's time for you to taste what justice and punishment taste like." I mentally face palmed myself. That was probably the stupidest things to come out of my mouth.
Dan turned to face me, showing me the hostage. "I have a hostage." The hostage glared at me. I love that face of hers.
"Let her go." I said, looking at Faye. I gave her a smirk, winking under the goggles.
Faye tried to get out of his grip. "Please let me go." Her voice was sexy, and hostile.
Dan made his grip around her neck tighter. "Don't tell me what to do."
"Where are your brothers, Dan?" Time to use the magic of words of fear and betrayal-ment, if that's even a word.
"Are you trying to say that they left me?" Dan said, his voice unsure. My plan was working.
"No I'm not. I just want justice to be served to all of you." Almost time for a can of whoop-ass.
"No, justice is something you crave, but the system is always out of balance. People can't handle a life that is peaceful. Everyone is agitated. So we just put everyone's fears to good use. We benefit ourselves and thrive on others fear." God, talk about a monolog. It's like he practiced it. But it made him sound somewhat intelligent.
I can counter that long monolog with one of my own. "You're forgetting about hope. People still have hope for a better future. And it's my job to give people hope in this dark world."
"I don't care what you do for this world." His intelligence he gained earlier just went down the drain.
Time to see if my plan was working. "Are they all gone?" I asked into my earpiece.
"Yep." Kenny responded.
"Good. Now if we can stop getting philosophical I'm here to arrest you. So let the pretty girl go." I nodded at Faye who returned with a eye roll.
"I have a whole room of hostages." Dan shouted gesturing to the rest of the room, which was empty, not to his knowledge.
"I would look again." I pointed to the clear room.
Dan looked around in bewilderment. "You tricked me. I'll kill you." He brought his gun up.
He pulled his trigger. The bullet bounced off of my vest. "I don't think so." I said, glaring at him.
He moved the gun to Faye's head. "I'll kill her." What is with people and trying to shoot my love? It's getting old. And I think Faye isn't phased by it anymore.
"Dan, let's move" The shout echoed through the bank lobby.
"Get everything ready, I'll be out in a second." Dan shouted, shuffling towards the back of the building.
I couldn't let them take Faye. "Let her go."
Dan tightened his grip on Faye as he moved back. "No, she's coming with me."
