Rory was shouting. "You two stooges are a bunch of assholes!" Her mouth was spitting out insults left and right.
Dean walked up to her. He gripped both of the arms of the chair. "Say that again and I will kill you."
Like the little bugger Rory is, the threat did not phase her. "Why would a bunch of thugs kidnap a fourteen year old girl and not bring her into the slave trade? Some rich man, or someone who actually has a little bit of money, paid you so they could integrate me about something ridiculous. The question is not who this man is that paid you to do his dirty work. The real question is why did your gang run out of money, you cunt?" That's my girl, not afraid of anyone.
"That's not for you to know." Dean looked like he was about to explode.
That wasn't good. "Please stop talking Rory." I whispered.
But alas, my prayer wasn't answered. "It is now, I'm stuck here. And based on that guy in the corner checking his watch every five seconds either he has something cooking, he is waiting for the last possible moment to call his pregnant girlfriend, or he is afraid of mystery person and so he is savoring the precious time he has left before he shits his pants. And since there hasn't been any missed phone calls I'll guess it's the scared shitless." Rory shouted.
Dean looked to Don, then back at Rory. "How do you know it's not the cooking?"
Rory gave Dean her stink eye. "Because he is one of dick heads who don't cook." She turned to Don, "No offense."
A third voice was heard. "Watch your language young lady." A man appeared from the shadows.
"Mr. Lehman?" Faye said in disbelief.
"Dad?" Kenny said, the same look on his face.
I felt the same way as the, but they needed to stop talking. "Shh."
"You must be the mystery man." Rory said. I could tell that her patience was running thin.
"What is my dad doing here?" Kenny asked leaning closer to the glass. They continued to watch the scene below.
"You are correct about that, Rory." Mr. Lehman said was he circled Rory.
Rory sighed. "So why have you taken me hostage?"
Lehman turned a faced her "It's because of my son."
I turned to face Kenny. "You?"
"Me?" He returned the look of confusion.
"Who is your son?" Rory asked.
Lehman turned away from her. "I can't tell you that."
Rory sat and stared, her face judging the Celon brothers and Lehman. "So why the hell am I here, besides the fact you have a son."
"Why was he at your house?" Lehman's voice got louder.
Rory made the connection. "Kenny? He's your son? He doesn't look like you at all."
"What was he doing at your house?" Lehman closed the space between the two of them. His face was inches from Rory's.
"Well technically it's my uncle's apartment, but he asked for tutoring help and he didn't want other people known about it." Rory lied through her teeth.
Lehman stepped back and huffed. "Bullshit. You are only fourteen, you can't be in his classes. Now tell me the truth."
"That is the truth, dumbass." She shouted.
Lehman put his hands on his hips. "Fine why was he talking to your uncle?"
Rory made a face. "I don't know, small talk? Making sure that he doesn't try to do things with me. How should I know?"
"So he wasn't using this as an excuse to bribe my son into getting his job back?" Lehman asked.
I whispered quiet enough so Faye wouldn't hear. "I'm not that low."
Rory sat high in her chair. "My uncle didn't like working for you anyway. He's not the person to beg."
"Where's my son?" Lehman shouted.
Rory glared at him for a second. She proceeded to put on a fake smile. "Let me activate my Kenny tracker. Beep boop boop beep. He is, I have no idea. I'm not is fucking secretary." Rory's attitude would get her hurt one of these days.
"I don't like your attitude." Lehman said folding his arms.
Rory returned the remark. "I don't like your face. If you want to know where your son is how about you call him. He's probably out with some of his friends."
"Fine I'll do that." Lehman said pulling up his phone.
I turned to Kenny. "He'll think something is up if I don't answer."
I said, "Make sure he can't hear you from up here."
"Hello?" Kenny said cautiously.
Faye gasped. "You're Kenny Lehman?" I covered her mouth with my hand.
"Hey Kenny." Lehman said. There was a pause.
Kenny broke the silence. "What's up, dad?"
"Nothing just wondering what are you doing?" Lehman glared at Rory.
"Just chilling at home." Kenny said, shrugging his shoulders at me.
"Just you?" Lehman asked.
"Yeah." Kenny said.
"No friends?" Lehman wasn't buying it.
I did the first things that came to my head. "OMG Kenny hurry up and get back here I'm not finished with you yet." I'm pretty good at impersonating a girl.
Lehman looked confused and slightly disgusted. "Who was that?"
"It was my... girlfriend... Tanya." Kenny stuttered out. I looked down at Rory. She could tell it was me, so she wasn't phased.
Lehman was though. He paused for a second. "Oh, well I'll leave you alone. We'll talk about this later tonight."
"Ok dad." Kenny said quickly.
"Bye Kenny." Lehman said slowly.
"Yeah bye." Kenny hung up fast.
Faye took my hand off of her mouth. "What are we going to do?"
"We need a distraction." Kenny said fiddling with his phone, trying to put it back in his pocket.
I stood up and looked around. "I'm going to go see if I can get a better vantage point. Stay here and radio me if anything else goes wrong."
I climbed out the window and around the top of the building. Trying see if there was a better way in. All of a sudden I heard a phone ring. Oh great. That better not be Kenny.
