The mob happened to be reporters. And they attacked us with questions. "How did all of this go down?"

"What happened in there?" Lights from camera flashes started going off.

I pushed Rory behind me, making sure she wouldn't get in too many photos. "Were you working with the Celons?"

"Did you know Lehman was a part of this?" We shoved our way through the crowd.

"Is that why you had this son working with you?" More people started to crowd around us.

Then I heard a voice above the rest of the questions. "Leave him alone you guys." Faye shouted.

I stopped, and cupped my hands around my mouth. "Everyone shut up. I'm going to say this once." Everyone became silenced. "I am the Guardian. I put on the suit so I could keep my family safe from low life's like the Celons. I follow the law. I save people, and I try to make my city a better place. Now if you all don't mind I'm going to go home." With the last statement the cameras and question started flying again.

Faye shoved the people out of our way. "Come on you guys. Get out of his way." We followed her to her car. "Get in." Faye shouted quickly, trying to get away from the mob. Rory and I jumped in, making sure we didn't get a lot of pictures taken of us. Faye sped away, away from the lights and the bustling noises of the reporters.

The car ride was silent. Rory was resting in the back, leaning her head on the window. She was exhausted. I was taking deep breaths trying to process what the hell just happened. The good news is that Dean and Don were arrested. That meant no dealing with them for a while. The bad news is everyone will know who I am. This isn't what was supposed to come out of tonight. And Faye, kept her gaze on the road, not looking in my direction. I could only guess that she was angry at me. So I wasn't going to risk upsetting her more.

She stopped right in front of our building, hands placed firmly on the wheel. I grabbed my bag. "Thanks for the ride Faye. Let's go Rory." I opened the door for Rory.

"Thanks Faye." Rory gave a small wave.

We silently walked up the stairs, Rory taking her time. When we got to the top I went over and knocked on Faye's door, hoping her grandmother was still awake. When she opened the door, she enveloped me in a hug.

"Tobias you're back!" Jeb shouted as Gami let me in.

Quinn was already sleeping, and Rose was barely staying awake. "Come on you guys, time for bed." I said standing in the door.

"But we were watching TV!" Jeb said

"You have school tomorrow." I said walking over to pick up Quinn.

"But I'm still awake." Rose whispered, trying to keep her eyes open.

I picked Rose up. "Bed." I said, nodding my head at Jeb.

"Fine." He said getting up and dragging his feet out the door.

"Thank you for watching them." I said to Gami, before leaving to my unit. Rory had the door open. I put all of them to bed, seeing how they were half asleep anyway. Rory was waiting in the living room, probably something she wanted to say.

I walked over the window, opening it up all the way. "I need to cool down. If you need me, I'll be on the roof." I said, climbing through and walking up the fire escape to the roof.

I had too much to think about. And to be honest, I didn't know how to deal with all of this. But I sat and thought about it. I don't know how long I was up there for. "Hey." A voice broke my train of thought and the silence I was surrounded by me.

I turned to her, very sheepishly. "How did you know that I was up here?" I asked, sounding very pathetic. This was my secret spot, as secret as it could be.

"Rory told me." Faye said. Of course it was Rory.

"What are you doing up here?" I asked.

Faye looked around before answering my question. "I wanted to talk."

I rolled my eyes, turning away from her. She was probably her to yell at me for leading her on or something like that. "I didn't think you wanted to. You know, after everything that happened. And the fact that I am the one that annoys you the most in the world."

"Your alter ego is pretty annoying." Faye agreed with me.

I turned away from her, not wanting to see her face if she became angry. "I thought it would be a good idea if I stayed away from you. And you seem to always be in one of my conflicts. I don't want you to get hurt because of me, because I have feelings for you and if you are going to get hurt because of me."

"Tobias." Faye interrupted me.

"I'm not done yet-" I tried to continue.

"Tobias. Stop being melodramatic." Faye interrupted me again.

What was going on? I thought she would me furious. "What do you..."

Faye walked so she was standing in front of me. "A constant stream of threats aren't going to scare me away. And I think you will need me to help watch your ass." Faye said, thinking about the choice words.

I jumped up. "Are you saying that you want to still see me?" I gripped her shoulders, a sense of hope flowing through me.

"Yes. I am." She smiled back at me. "We can try to make this work out. But this time, don't be a dick when saving people."

I pulled her into a hug. "I won't do that anymore."

"Good, now go back inside and get ready for tomorrow." Faye said as we walked towards the ladder of the fire escape.

I stopped, slightly confused. "What's tomorrow?"

"You are going to be bombarded with everything. Everyone knows who are." Faye said starting to climb back down.

I paused, thinking over what she said. "That's true." I ran my hand through my hair. This would be difficult. "I didn't think this would happen." But I would have to deal with it. And at the end of the day, I think I can do that.
