“Wakey wakey, shakey shakey.” I felt something jumping on me. Damn my head hurts. It was Jeb, Rose, and Jerry.

“Morning Toby!” Rose shouted.

“Peasant!” Jeb hit me with a sword.

“Moo!” Jerry put his cow on my head.

I shoved them off of me.“Holy shit, my head hurts.”

“I hope it does.” I heard from behind me. It was Rory.

“Rory what time is it?” I asked turning around on the couch. How did I get on the couch?

“It's 6:15. In the morning.” Rory said, smiling at me. The smile didn't seem genuine.

“What happened last night?” I asked rubbing my head.

She sipped some coffee. “Well, we got home around 5 o'clock because we had to take a bus. Someone wasn't at school to pick us up. Then we made dinner, I entertained these rascals. I got them to bathe, got them in bed by 9:45. Rose woke up with a nightmare, so I comforted her until 10:30. Then I went over the Faye and asked for a ride.”

Now I'm confused. “Why did she give you a ride and to where?”

She glared at me. If a look could kill, then I would be cut up into little pieces and spread across the Sahara Desert. “To pick your sorry ass up. Over at your work. It was midnight when we picked you up. We got home almost at one. Once you finally got up the stair you passed out in front of the door so I had to get you inside, clean you up from the vomit that was on you and put you to bed.”

“What-” I started, she stopped me though.

“Then I had to do my homework. I've been up ever since.” She was shouting.

“Can you stop yelling?” I asked.

Another death glare. “No I can't. Why were you drunk in the middle of the night with no money?”

Now I remember. “I got fired. I was pissed, I wanted to forget about it.”

Rory's death glare dropped. “Why did you get fired in the first place?”

I had to tell her the truth. “Because I was mugged.”

“What?” She looked confused.

I shrugged. “My boss thought that me being mugged was going to ruin his reputation so he fired me.”

She took another sip of coffee. “That's a dick move.”

“I know.” I agreed with her.

She looked sad as she walked over to the window. “Well, I'm sorry.”

I shrugged it off. “It's ok, I can find another job.”

“Since it's ok, you wont mind if I do this.” Rory pulled open the curtain, letting the sunshine into the apartment.

I threw up my hands to block the light and backed up. That ended up with me being thrown over  the edge of the couch and hitting my head on the ground. “Goddammit Rory, are you trying to kill me.”

She smirked at me. “I'm running on zero hours of sleep. And it's because of you. Still a little pissed. And it's Tuesday, and to top it all off I still have my period. So I'm not a happy camper.”

There was a knock on the door. Rose opened it and Faye walked in. “Hey I heard you guys were up and I thought I would bring the drink over. It helps with hangovers.” She held a glass filled with an orange liquid.

“Thanks Faye. I can take it for him.” Rory said taking the glass.
Faye gave a small wave and smiled. “Hope you feel better, and kids have a nice day! I have to get to work.”

She was beautiful. “See ya.” I gave a small wave back.

Once she got out of the door Rory turned to me, drink in hand.“If I have to suffer, then you do. No drink for you.” She poured the hangover cure down the drain. “Now we have to catch the bus. Have a happy hangover.” She ran over to me and lightly slapped my face. She took the gang and they walked out. This sure would be a happy hangover.
