I always thought my first school prom would be magical. Standing on the dance floor with my boyfriend slow dancing to the beat of Shine On You Crazy Diamond. But no. Here I am, sitting at the very table that all my friends were once gathered up, by myself while they have their romantic slow dance with their bf/gf. I'm still stuck here wondering where the hell Harry is, growing more impatient by the second.

"May I have this dance?" I heard from behind me. I turned around to see some guy behind me asking a girl I'm guessing was his girlfriend. Ugh. When I see this boy, he's gonna get a real good talking to. Worse case senario? He's sleeping on the couch. Making him sleep on the bedroom floor would be too nice. He doesnt deserve being in the same room as me.

The song came an end after 26 minutes and 5 seconds, if your listening to all parts to it that is. Yes Ive listened to this song enough times to know the exact timng of it. Sad right? NOT! ITS THE MOST AMAZING SONG EVER! Wait. Im supposed to be annoyed right now. Not fangirling over my all time favourite song.

Louis and the boys, minus a curly mop headed boy, eventually came back with the girls. The girl obviously complaining about how sore their feet were after dancing for so long.

"I cant believe you girls lasted that long dancing with brand new heels." I said increduously, trying to hide my dissapointment and sadness. I cant believe that jerk stood me up after suggesting we celebrate after my big outburst against Patrick. He's the one that suggested coming here. He's the one that sent me and the girls on a torturous dress hunt. Im telling you now, this boy is on thin ice.

While sitting their listening to the music and recieving many sympathetic glances from my friends, I got up off my seat suddenly and walked up to the band and spoke to them about something I had planned.

The night came to an end with a very slow dance and the entrance slowly opened. I didnt bother to observe who had walked through. I turned to Eleanor, mouthing to her if it was Harry. She nodded slightly and gave me once again, another sympethic smile. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around only to be meeted with a curly mop headed boy I once said 'I love you' to. Ha thats no more.

"Im so sorry Kodie. I can explain. But before I do. Can I please... Just have this last dance of the night. I promise I'll explain everything to you at home." Harry said, getting down on his knees and literally begging.

I didnt say anything. Instead, I got up off my seat, taking my heels off of course, and walked up the stage and signalled the band to start playing.

I looked into the crowd where everyone was standing on the dancefloor, some slightly annoyed I had interupted their precious romance time. But most of all, I heard my best friend Niall gasp and speak. "Holy Shit. She's going to sing." Yes my little leprechaun friend. I am indeed going to sing.

The music started to play and on queue, i began singing.

You, you hit with me a break

And now you're back for more

Your song's the same

Leave me with all the blame

I don't have time for another game

I don't wanna dance

So don't you ask me, babe

I don't wanna dance

You blew your chance

To rock my night away

I want some fun

Boy, you're so not the one

I don't wanna dance

So let it go

It will be fine. . . . I promise?Where stories live. Discover now
