Its been a day since the incident and I managed to send Dad and the rest on a short holiday back to New zealand to pick a few things up and say a proper goodbye to everyone. That way I had time to sort things out with the police and Paris. It was the school holidays anyway so it was good timing.
I drove down the faintly familiar road towards the airport to drop off Cass, Rach and Dad. They gave in to me offering to drive them there instead of catching a cab. I brung Liam along so I wouldnt get lost on the way back, also so we could talk about what we were planning on doing with this Paris situation.
It was a long and quite ride to the airport. Dad and the others didnt really have much to say on the whole idea. Infact they seemed a bit nervous leaving me here on my own. I dont see why. I had Liam and Niall to look after me.
"Why are you guys so quiet?" I asked. No answer.
"Ok then, dont answer me." I said sarcastically. This wasnt like them. They never ignored me like this. They were never this quiet. The tension in the air was driving me crazy. I decided to do something about it. I pulled over and stopped the car.
"Why did we stop driving. Kodie. Whats going on?" Liam asked concerned. I ignored his qustion and looked over my shoulder to see Dad and Rach on the outside seats just staring out the window.
"Can we keep driving to the airport? We kinda need to get there as soon as possible so we dont miss our flight." Rach said in a monotone voice.
"No. Not until you tell me whats going on." I said sternly.
"You really wanna know?" She asked me her voice showing clear sign of annoyance now.
"Yes." I said in a obvious tone.
"What was that black dress for eh? Going out to dinner? For a date? Or maybe a party, where crazy irresponsible teenagers get drunk and fight there ways through their problems?" She said getting really irritated in my presence.
"How did you know?" I asked suprised to know that she knew where I went that night.
"I got an email last night Kodie. It showed a video with a certain person with red hair wearing a certain black dress I had agreed to let them buy." She said.
"So what? It was my money!" I said my voice getting louder in defense.
"Im still your mother. And you do as I say. Now drive us to the airport." She said sternly, in attempt to order me around.
"Your not my mother now get out of my car!" I yelled.
"Kodie Marie Mc-"
"Stop Calling Me That Now Get Out Or I Will!" I screamed.
"Kodie. Stop it now. Drive us to the airport now or your grounded." I heard dads voice but in to the conversation. I ignored him and got out of the car. I completely forgot about the fact that Liam was sitting in the passenger seat the whole time listening to the whole conversation. I took the keys out of the ignition and slammed the door shut and started walked back the way we had came. How am I supposed to live my life pretending that that bitch was my mother for my sisters sake. I kept walking ignoring the fact that it was now raining. Typical England whether. I kept walking, trying to think how I was going to get away from them. Thinking about what life would be like if Rachel had never came into my Dad's life. If they had never of gotten married. My thoughts were interupted when I felt someone grab my hand and pull me back, forcing me to stop. I turned around, hoping to god it wasnt Dad or Rachel. When our eyes met. A rush of butterflies flew through my stomach making me forget all about the anger and fury I was inriched in a second ago. I looked deep into those beautiful brown eyes and felt all my emotions flush out like a waterfall. I felt my legs go weak. I fell into his arms. I couldnt hold the tears back anymore.
