Drews P.O.V:
"No Barronè, I to let them find out that you can see me! They can't see me, only you can." I rushed to tell Barronè, maybe I could limit the damage done by his words if he stopped now.
"Why can't they see you? What's happening Drew?"
"Shhh Barronè, baby, I swear I'll explain everything later, it'll be okay, l promise. Don't make a sound, pretend that you can't hear me, 'kay?" He nodded ever so slightly but didn't say a word. Everyone else in the room was watching us, or as they thought just Barronè. I put my arm around him reassuringly.
"Do you really think you can see Drew?" Laurence whispered. Barronè looked at me hesitantly, then replied to Laurence. "I... I don't know. I thought l saw him, but he's gone now. I think l imagined him." I sighed in relief and stood on my tip toes to kiss his cheek. Barronè gasped and l realised what a bad idea it had been. The nurse looked at him in concern, "Are you okay?" She enquired.
Barronè ignored her, still staring at me. "Drew's really dead?" He asked the guys, without breaking eye contact with me.
"I'm so sorry Cyrus. I know how much you loved him." Barronè doesn't reply to Kier, he just stares at me, begging me with his eyes to deny it. "It's true." I confirm.
Barronè drops suddenly to the floor and begins to cry noisily, fists pounding the floor. Laurence and Kier jump up and rush to his side, begging him to calm down and patting his back affectionately. Luke watches from afar, seeming scared by the amount of emotion on display. Barronès already damaged hands began bleeding again, which prompted Willow to rush over and make her own attempt at comforting him.
After a couple of minutes of Barronès shrieking and pounding another nurse knocked on the door. "Do you need some assistance in here?" He asked.
"Could you get some sedatives for him please?" She requested and the male nurse rushed off. Kier looked terrified. "You can't knock him out again, he'll be okay if you just give him a minute."
"Mr Barronè is hurting himself and l need to sedate him before he does himself any serious damage." She responded. Kier obviously disagreed and started to argue with her, until Laurence put his hand onto Kiers cheek and said "She knows what she's doing."
If Barronè passed out again would he loose his memory again? I'd hate to have to see him go through that all over again, if not for his sake then for the rest of the guys, and my own. It would be torture to have to see him go through all of that emotional trauma again.
I knelt at Barronès side and stroked his hair gently. "Barronè please calm down. It's okay, it's all going to be okay." I soothed. Barronè paused his wailing and turned to face me. "How are you here?" He yelled. His voice was hoarse and he sounded crazy. "Barronè please, they can' know that you can see me."
"Why not Drew? What's happening?" The other four people had all gone quiet when Barronè began yelling, but now Nurse Willow began speaking. "Mr Barronè, please listen to me. You can't see Drew, he's gone. Can you please try to relax so that l can help you?" Barronè turned to face her. "I can see him. HE'S RIGHT THERE!" He pointed at me and the nurse looked through me.
"There's nobody there sir."
The male nurse returned with a syringe full of clear liquid which he gave to Willow. Everyone but the two nurses were crying and Nurse Willow looked as if she wanted to cry too. She asked Luke to restrain Barronè whilst she injected him with the sedatives. His body slumped down in Luke's arms and he seemed so tiny and fragile. Luke laid him out on the hospital bed and tucked him under the blanket, fully clothed. The other nurse asked if he could be of anymore use and then left. Willow looked at each of the three men for a moment before speaking. "I think it would be best of we transfered Mr Barronè to the phsyciatric ward, from the way he's acting it's clear that he' hallucinating and the doctors there can find out why."
This is all my fault! I'd stayed away then Barronè would have been okay, but because of me everyone thinks that he's insane.
Time passes and Barronè remains unconscious.
Nurse Willow leaves and instructs them to call when Barronè wakes.
Nurse Willow returns to check on Barronè, she thinks that it's unusual for him to not have woken up yet.
She tells the guys not to worry.
Barronè still sleeps.
Kier leaves t get coffee for him, Luke and Laurence.
Kier returns and Barronè is still unconscious.
"Droooo?" My head snaps up at the sound of my name, l watch as Barronè slowly wakes up, murmuring my name every few moments. I look over at him, keeping my distance so that l don't cause another scene like the one earlier. "Whaaas hapnung?" He asks looking around the room , "Lawwrnsss... Loooke... Kiiiyaahhh... Wheyas Drooo?"
He can't see me.
