Kiers POV:
I turned slightly to face Luke, who was walking on my left, he looked about as stressed as l felt. Where could Barronè possibly be? We'd been searching for over an hour and a half now and it was quickly becoming dark. "Shane! Barronè?" l yelled in a last ditched attampt to make him hear us, my throat was hoarse and aching from calling him so many times. Again nobody responded, in all honesty l'd near given up at this point.
"C'mon Kier, lets go back. Maybe he'll have come back on his own..." Luke suggested and l nodded slowly in agreement, feeling defeated. l think we both knew that it was all but impossible for Shane to have come back on his own. We may not have seen him earlier when he ran away, but we had certinly heared him and judging by Layuemces summary he was feeling even worse than he had sounded.
Treres no way he'll have come back home yet.
Dspite knowing this qe were both far too exhausted to carry on searching much longer and l was desperate to get back and ensure that Laur was okay. l hated having to leave him alone and in pain, but as he had said: We needed to find Barronè. l considered my parting words to my boyfriend, l'd promised him that when l came back l'd have Shane with me.
The hour walk back was spent in silence, spare for a few coughs fom the both of us and the tapping of my boots against the dirty London pavements. S we passed each alley way and turn off l scanned my yes over the area quickly, hopind to identify Shanes face amongst the urban jungle.
We reach a road which we are about to cross when a distinctly Barronè shaped figure hurried past me, hood pulled up againt the cold and disguising his face. A few locks of honey brown hair had come untucked from the grey fleace and were blown flat against the side of his face.
"Hey Barronè, come back!" l called to him, he completely ignored me.
"Wait up!" His walking sped up slightly and l began to jog after him. l caught up with him and gently placed my hand on his arm to stop him going anywhere. Shane swung around to face me. "Let go of me or l'll scream!" The person, who was deffinatly not Shane, growled at me, trying her best to apear threatening. A young woman with a honey brown bob. l quickly let go of her arm "l am so, so sorry! l-l thought you were someome else." l apolagise quickly, not wanting her to yell for help, that would be the last thing l need right now.
l turn on my heel and run back to Luke, feeling my face heat up as l blushed. Luke was chuckling slightly. "Nice one Kemp!" He gestured towards the road we had origionally been planning to cross, before l ran of to try assulting the public. "Can we cross now?" He asks. l nod and head across the road.
"Kier! Wach out for the car!" Luke yells.
l spin around.
