Laurences POV:
"He's not here." I said, stating the obvious as we left yet another room. My ribs were aching like mad and all the running about really isn't helping. Kier saw me holding my side, trying to ease some of the pain, and shot me a worried look. l smiled reassuringly at him and made a distinct effort not to draw attention to my injury. Finding Barronè is what matters right now, I can wait.
We'd searched the entire ground floor and all of the rooms on the first floor, where Barronès room was, there was no sign of him anywhere. We headed up to the second floor desperately searching every corner for him. Where the hell could he have gotten? There are only so many places he could be!
"Left or right?" I pondered. "I don't suppose it makes any difference really does it?" I ansered my own question. We chose to go right, due to the fact that most of the lights were off in the left corridor, it looked liked something out of a horror movie. No way would Barronè go down there if he could avoid it. The pain in my ribs was getting worse the more time went by, it was now too painful to even breave comfortably. Kier looked at me strangely again. "Laur' honey, you're obviously in pain. Sit down for a little while, l'll get you as soon as we find him, promise." He told me and as much as l wanted to turn down his other my ribs were so painful that l honestly didn't think l would be able to go much further. l settle down on one of the conveniently placed plastic chairs, presumably left there for visitors to sit on while they're waiting. lt's by no means the most comfortable chair l've ever encountered, but right now l'll take what l can get! "l'm just gonna sit here, right here, and wait for you. Make sure you come and get me when you find Cyrus- unless he needs you more than me or something. l don't know, just make sure you come back love." l know l probably sound really clingy, but l can't help it. After seeing Cyrus and Drew being split up so suddenly, so brutally, l didn't want to let Kier out of my sight. Maybe that makes me sound paranoid or over protective, but that's just the way l feel. Even though we've only been officially together for less than twenty four hours l've known Kier forever and the idea of life without him makes me feel woozy.
Suddenly my thoughts are broken off by the sound of footsteps running towards me. Kiers back! Has he found Barronè?
