(1 week later, Ty's POV)

"Remember General! Be easy on that leg of yours!" The nurse called out as I walked/limped out of the hospital. I nodded, and waved a quick goodbye. She smiled, and walked back inside the place that had kept me prisoner for the past week.

"Hey Ty!"

Ian came running up to me, excitement on his face.

"Your finally out of the hospital!" I nodded happily.

"Do need some help getting back to the palace? I could help you."

I shook my head quickly.

"Doctor said I needed to do as much exercise with it as possible. Build back up the torn muscle."

Ian nodded understandingly.

"Alright dood. Just holler if you need anything, ok?" I nodded. Ian went running off behind me, and I was left alone again.

I should probably go see Sky and the rest of the guys. I thought as I neared the main palace grounds. I hobbled into the castle, getting greeted by recruits every so often.

"Sky? Jason? Mitch?"

"Whoa! Guys! Look who's out of the hospital!" I heard someone yell. I looked up, and saw Mitch sliding down one of the stair banisters, smiling. I smiled, and waved. He landed with a thud on his bottom, and he laughed.

"What was that Mitch?!" I heard Sky call out. I looked up the stairs, and saw Adam standing at the top. Mitch ran up next to me and slung his arm around my shoulders.

"Look who was just released from prison!" Mitch yelled, smiling. He pulled me into a playful headlock and messed up my hair. I wriggled free from him, laughing. Sky came running down the stairs, laughing at us. I patted down my hair, and sighed.

"Feels good to be back on my feet." I said, looking at the two boys.

"We're glad your back buddy. You need anything?" Mitch asked. I shook my head.

"I'm planning on doing a quick scout though around the west castle wall. Being locked up in a place like a hospital is like getting locked in the nether. Not having anything to do all day? I can't believe I wasn't driven mad." I said, and Mitch nodded. Sky's smile faded a little, but he quickly covered it with a cough.

Mitch looked at his watch, and then back up at me and Sky.

"I'll see you guys later. I promised Jerome I would go hunting with him today. Bye Ty! Bye Sky!" Mitch said quickly, starting to run out of the door. We waved goodbye, and it was just me and him.

"Hey Ty...uh...do...do you need me to accompany you as you scout? I mean, I don't have anything better to do-"

"Sorry Sky. I kinda want to just go by myself, you know, get some fresh air. Anyways, didn't you tell me yesterday a delegate from the Lapiz Kingdom was coming today?"

Sky slapped his forehead with his hand.

"Oh my god, I completely forgot about the delegate! Your a lifesaver Ty! I gotta go, I'll see you later!" Sky said, rushed. He bolted out the door, and I walked out into the main garden.

The garden was a large, fenced-in field of beautiful plants and ponds. I sat down on one of the small benches by the main fountain, which was a large, white, marble fountain with a butter ingot on top. I closed my eyes, and sighed, listening to the tranquility of nature.

"Ty?"

I jolted awake, snorting in the process.

"Whoa Ty, easy."

I looked down at the nearest pond, and saw Mudkip swimming around lazily in it.

"Ugh. Mudkip! You gave me a heart attack!" I snapped.

"Yeah, I realized." Mudkip laughed, flipping over onto his back. He floated on the water like a boat. I sighed.

"Hey Mudkip, what time is it?" I asked, looking at the sun. The Sky was starting to turn a orangey-pink.

"Um...it's about 6:30." Mudkip said, looking at the watch on his left hand.

"Thanks. Um, I think I'm going to go join the night patrols around the west wall. I need some action." I said. Mudkip nodded.

"Alright. See you later!" He said happily, diving under the water. I waved goodbye, and then ran off to the west wall.
---------------

I climbed one of the towers of the west wall, and sat down in the somewhat tattered green chair. I grabbed the pair of binoculars on the tables, and looked around the area over the wall. Sky's family built it centuries ago to keep out the squids and other monsters. I looked through the binoculars again, but this time I saw something shiny out about 100 feet from the wall. I put the binoculars down, and quickly climbed down the tower. I then walked towards the front gate.

The gatekeeper, who was currently reading the daily paper, gave a small jump when I coughed to get his attention.

"S-sorry sir!" I nodded.

"It's ok James. I just need you to let me out for a few minutes ok? I'll bang on the gates when I return." I said, and James nodded. He flicked the lever on the wall next to him, and the doors started opening with loud cranks.

I ran out and over to the west wall, where I started walking slowly into the woods that surrounded the area. I had to be cautious here, since it was Squid territory, and Squid were known to be skilled trappers.

I climbed over fallen trees and pushed away branches from low hanging trees when I saw the glint again. I walked a little farther in, and saw a large pile of butter just sitting in the middle of the woods. I eyed the butter, liking to see if there was any obvious traps on or in it. Seeing none, I decided to approach the mound. It was definitely real butter, but what on earth was it doing out here?

I walked closer to the pile, glancing around ever few seconds to make sure I wasn't going to be ambushed. I soon got in hands reach of the golden pile, and was about to grab a piece when I heard something rustle behind me. Glancing back, I saw the leaves on one tree moving. No other leaves were moving however.

Some one is here with me.

I looked around the other trees. I didn't see anyone.

"Show yourself! I know your there!" I yelled, looking around the clearing. I heard another rustle, and saw a branch shaking up and down. I walked towards the branch and peered farther into the woods. Suddenly, my body became incredibly tight and immobile. I gasped, and tried to move my head or hands. I couldn't move anything. I groaned in pain. I squinted my he's to see if I could see who was doing this to me, but whoever it was, they were behind me.

And they were using magic.
