Chapter 15

(Ty's POV)

Bang Bang Bang

My eyes slowly opened from my extremely uncomfortable sleep. I slowly sat up, pushing off of the cold floor, and stood up. I walked over to the jail cell door, where I was met with the ever so kind security guard holding a tray of what I expected to be food.

"Here you go runt." He said, sliding it through a small slot on the bottom of the cell door. I looked at him, and then slowly crouched down and grabbed it. My hands looked deathly pale against the blue tray. They shook madly as I walked over to my blanket and sat down. The contents on the tray were puny in portion. My so called breakfast consisted of a soggy piece of bread, an apple, and a small glass of water.

Well, at least it's food.

I ate the meal slowly, savoring every piece. The bread was unbearably soggy, practically falling apart at my touch, the Apple was stale, and the water tasted funny. But hey, at least I know I won't die of hunger.

Although, dying of hunger might be better than being stuck here.

I finished the meal all too quickly, and slid the tray under the door of the cell. The guard looked at me, and then the tray. He gave me a death glare, and I was taken aback.

Sheesh. What did I ever do to him?

"Hey! Squid guy!" I called to him.

The squid grumbled, and crawled over to me.

"Listen you. I'm the one watching you. You step out of line and I'll have thrown into the ocean, and this time, you won't survive. Now, shut up, and don't annoy me." He said, kicking my cell. I jumped back.

Their bluffing- I thought to myself- they wouldn't throw me into the ocean....would they?

I walked back to my blanket and pillow. I sat down, and put my head in my hands. I was so bored, and when your stuck in a cell, there's not much to do. Maybe that's why people always end up being nuts after being kept in solitary confinement. They were bored into insanity.

Well, I'm not going to go insane. They won't see me weakened. I thought to myself.
