Chapter 34

(Sky's POV)

I stared at Ty, my eyes stretched with horror. Ty chuckled, smirking.

"Ty....what the heck did they do to you?!" I said, gawking. His traditional white shirt was shredded, and so were the cuffs of his gray jeans. His hair was a dirty mess, and His blue tentacles stood at his sides, as if they were his own army to defend him.

"Oh, these old things? Why, they simply helped me uncover my true potential. Squillium was right Sky, I'm much more useful and needed around here than at your base." He said mockingly. He walking over towards me, and bent to knee level. He looked me in the eyes, but said nothing. His eyes had changed from the dark maroon to a deep blue, the same color as his tentacles. They were blazing with wait looked like anticipation. I growled.

The was a knock at the door, and in walked Squillium, clearly happy.

"Ah, hello Sky. I see you and Ty have been playing catch up. Isn't it great to see him, Ty?" Squillium smirked, slithering into his chair.

"Hardly." Ty muttered, standing back up. He walked back to were Squillium was sitting, and jumped up onto his desk. He sat down nicely, and stared at me. I stayed silent, my heart feeling like it had just been pierced with a piece of ice. My childhood friend, my most trusted General, didn't care about me at all?

"Aw Sky, don't look like that. Isn't this what you came here for? For Ty back?" Squillium sneered, clearly mocking me.

"We came for the actual Ty, not this monster sitting here with us." I growled. Ty scoffed.

"How rude." Ty exclaimed mockingly, pretending to be hurt. I rolled my eyes.

"You know Sky, we also have another little reunion planned for you." Squillium said, pointing a single tentacle towards the door. I cast a quick glance at "Ty," but he just sat on Squillium's desk, his face unreadable. I turned my head towards the door, and saw the brass knob turn. The door opened slowly, and a grey boot stepped through the doorway. It was followed by a purple cape, which was being worn by a younger boy with a white headband. He looked at me with his brown eyes, and our gazes locked. He stopped walking mid-step, and just stared. I returned the gesture.

Finally after what felt like hours of staring, the boy broke our locked gazes. He lowered his head, but even then I was able to see the boy's lip quiver. I heard him acknowledge faintly,"Sky...."

"Ah, there you are Seto. Say, where is that apprentice of yours anyway?" Squillium asked, motioning Seto over.

"He's preparing the others, Squillium." Seto said, looking down at the floor.

"Good, good. Well, now that we have the reunion settled, Sky? To what do we owe the pleasure?"

I didn't reply. My mind was still racing at the idea of seeing Seto in the flesh. He had grown a lot since the last time we had seen eachother, and I could see that he wasn't comfortable with this "reunion."

"Seto...what are you doing here.." I mumbled under my breath,"Why have you sided with the enemy."

Seto lifted his head, and looked at me. His brown eyes were swimming with guilt.

"Sky? You-who, Sky?" Squillium said in a sing-songy voice, obviously trying to get my attention back on him. But I couldn't look away from Seto. The young 16 year old that we had kicked out now stood before me, aligned with my greatest enemy. When I still didn't reply to the Kings question after being asked a few times, Ty must've gotten bored. He jumped off his place on the desk, and slapped me with one of his tentacles. I jumped at the impact.

"Respond to the Mayor!" He said gruffly, pointing at Squillium. I scoffed.
"Like I'd spend my time with you." I huffed. Squillium snickered.

"Playing hard to get huh? Don't worry Sky, we will break you down. Until there is nothing left of you. Nothing except stories of how we defeated the Sky army. Now, Squidlox, take him to his cell." Squillium sneered. Ty grabbed me the wrists, binding then tightly with something that look like handcuffs made of seaweed. He grabbed my arm, and without a look back, lead me away.

Sorry for the shorter chapter guys! It's like 1AM though and I'm really tired.
