Summer Vibes

I turn on my lamp that's on my nightstand. It doesn't give off a lot of light, but it's enough to see where I'm going. Opening my white wooden door to my walk-in closet, I flip the lights on lighting up the crystal chandeliers. The walls are painted a cute blush pink, and the cabinets are white with silver handles. In each cabinet, clothes hang by color and length.

Walking barefooted on the puffy white carpet, I looked for something to wear. Grabbing a black cropped tank top, I slip it on as I look for my dark blue ripped jeans. All I want to wear is my comfy black sneakers, and since this is giving me an athletic vibe, I throw on a black windbreaker. Looking at myself in the full body mirror at the end of the closet, I nod in approval.

I turn the lights off and make my way to my vanity that's inside my bathroom. Sitting down, I turn on my vanity lights and start to apply my signature winged liner. My makeup is natural-looking besides the long wing and dark brown liner with a nude gloss on top. I just run my hairbrush through my hair, and I fluff it back up with my fingers.

Brushing my teeth quickly, I run to grab my grey backpack and head out the door silently. Starting my car's engine, I look at the time: 7:20. "Right on time." I happily say as I drive off to school.

"Hey!" I greet Adolfo and Hector as I sit down at the lunch table.

"Hello." They both greet, except Hector was a bit more enthusiastic.

I take my usual seat next to Hector and flash him a small smile. He smiles back and throws his gum wrapper crushed into a ball at me in a playful manner. I grabbed the ball and threw it back at him—only for it to hit him right in the eye.

"Ow!" he says as he covers the injured eye.

I gasp, "omg are you okay?"

He chuckles, "yeah, don't worry about it."

I scoot near him to check his eye out, "let me see."

He moves his hand, and I look into his brown eye.
"I'm fine, Serena," Hector says, trying to pull away from me. I grab a handful of his black leather jacket.

"Stop moving!" I scold. I looked down at him and noticed why he was eager to getaway. Our faces are mere inches away. A blush quickly appears on my face as we maintain eye contact.

"Stop flirting with each other because I'm going to throw up," Adolfo says, snapping us out of a moment.

I roll my eyes at Adolfo to hide my embarrassment.
"Aw, Adolfo, are you jealous?" I tease.

"As if," He responds.

I get up and wrap my arms around his neck. "I love you too, Adolfo." Pulling him in closer to me, I plant a kiss on his cheek. He groans in disgust.

"Ew, get off of me, you vile woman!" He shouts as he pushes me off of him.

Laughing, I look at Adolfo more closely, "wait, why are you wearing a Hawaiian shirt?"

"I believe if I wear something with a summer vibe, summer break might come faster." He explains.

"How's it going for you, buddy," Hector asks him.

"Not good." He says with a fake sad look.

I look up to see Diane coming. She wore a white tee with a tight denim skirt with a black corset belt to pull the look together. Her dark hair falls straight behind her with silver clips holding some of her hair back. You could hear her walking closer as her black booties click against the concrete floor. "Diane!" I say happy to see her.
