I look at him and just smile. My heart skips a beat when he gives me a grin. He has on a black T-shirt with distressed jeans. "Hey, guys." He greets everyone once he reaches us.

Everyone waves at him and gets back to gossiping about Vicente's adventures. Hector sits to the left of me and gives me a peck on the lips. "Can you guys get a room," Adolfo says ruining that little kiss.

"Yeah, 'cause it's making me sick," Vicente adds, backing up Adolfo.

"You guys don't know anything about love," Marisol says.

Diane laughs, "they are womanizers, so they will never know about love."

"Can't help it," Vicente says, "They just love us."

"And I can't leave all those beautiful ladies feeling lonely." Adolfo dramatically says.

"Like have you seen us?" Vicente says, pointing at himself and Adolfo.

"I have, and I, for one, have to say that I'm not impressed," Diane says.

They roll their eyes at her.

"Anyways, when are we going to eat?" Dante asks changing the subject.

Just as he says that Marisol's dad comes out. "Who's hungry?" He asks as he holds a spatula.

"Me!" Everyone yells simultaneously.

He chuckles, "that's what I like to hear. Give me a few more minutes." Diane's dad walks out wearing a light blue button-up shirt and brown dress pants paired with his jet black hair slicked back. He walks towards my dad, who stands next to the grill. I watch as my father hands him a beer with a grin.

"Diane, come here." Her mother called out for her.

"Coming!" Diane yells. Everyone looked as if she was in trouble. She glares at us when she walks away. They both disappear into the house.

Adolfo got up, "let's go, Vicente."

"Nah, man, I'm too lazy," Vicente says, slouching in his chair.

"Get your fat ass up and let's go watch some TV." He says.

"Alright." Vicente reluctantly says. He groans as he gets up.

I look straight at Marisol. "When will those boys ever mature?" I question.

"When cows can fly." She says.

I look at her, confused. "When what?" I say, laughing a bit.

"When cows can fly." She repeats.

"Isn't it when pigs can fly?" Hector says.

"Yeah, but I wanted to put my twist on it," Marisol says. I nod at her effort.

"I was confused just as much as you were when she first said it to me." Dante inputs.

"So, what are you guys going to do after graduation?" Hector asks, curious. "Since It's only in a couple of weeks now."

"Well...Marisol and I are both going to the college in Chicago." Dante happily says.

"Yup." Marisol smiles at him, looking genuinely happy. "And you, Hector?"

"I honestly don't know." He sighs. We somberly nod. It is now hitting us that we will soon go our separate ways and not go to the same school anymore. In three weeks, we will walk across the stage and graduate high school.

"What I do know is that we will all still be together," I say to them, trying to lighten them up. They all smile. The smell of the burgers fills the air.
