We enter the girl's bathroom that is surprisingly empty, except for the crying girl in the corner. I rush towards Marisol and wrap her in a warm embrace. Diane sits on the right side of her soothing rubbing circles on her back. After a couple of silent minutes, Marisol speaks up. "Those damn rumors," she angrily chuckles.
"What rumors?" Diane asks. I look at Diane, equally confused.
"The one about him wanting to leave me for one of his female friends. But then there he goes promising me how he won't leave me, and how he loves me. In my head, I hear lies, but my heart so badly wants to believe him." Her voice cracks at the end of the sentence. "But how can I? If he's going around showing all the reasons why I can't believe him." A single tear slid down her face.
"What an asshole." I angrily say.
Marisol chuckles, " I should of listen to you, Serena. I shouldn't have ever been involved with him."
I sadly smile at her "How could you have listened? You were busy being in love. Like the saying says: Love is blind. And apparently deaf too."
"Plus, you can't change the past no matter how hard you try," Diane adds. Marisol wipes away her tears.
"Let's get you cleaned up," I say, trying to change the subject. "You don't wanna look like a zombie." She quietly laughs.
"And we'll face those rumors together." Diane sweetly adds.
Marisol smiles at us both, "I'm the luckiest girl to have friends like you guys."
"You know it," I say with sass.
Diane looks at Marisol straight in the eyes, "If you want, I can go and murder Orlando."
Marisol slowly stands up from the dirty floor and shakes her head. "There's no need to." She says. Diane and I stand up as well.
"Just say the word, and he'll be gone." Diane keeps saying. Marisol gives her a look, and Diane shuts up.
As we walk towards the lunch table, everyone is unusually silent. I sit down intending to eat the delicious pizza I abandoned. I look down in front of me and notice the absence of my pizza. My heart drops, and my dreams shatter as I stare at the empty plate.
"Where's my pizza?" I maliciously say. I glare at the men at my table. From the corner of my eyes, I see Adolfo slowly getting out of his chair. I whip my head towards his direction. "You!" I growled. He visibly gulps. Hector interrupts the heated stare off.
"Calm down, Serena." He calmly says. Hector is the only one allowed to say calm down to me; otherwise, I would go apeshit on whoever says that to me. I huff, releasing my boiling anger. "If you want after school, I'll buy you ice cream." he softly says to keep me from ripping Adolfo in half. I turn my head to look at Hector.
"Rocky Road?" I ask.
"Yes," He affirms. That instantly lightens up my day.
I shoot Adolfo a glare, "doesn't mean this is over, buddy."
The bell rings, signaling the fifth period is about to start. I skip towards my next class, but not forgetting to glare at Adolfo once more.

As I walked into my sixth-period class, I slip into the seat next to Diane. A middle-aged man walks in wearing a blue polo shirt and khakis. That said man is my science teacher Mr. Meyers. As he walks in, he says something that offended me deeply. "We're switching seats!"
I feel Diane grab my arm in shock. "How dare he!" She quietly shouts.
Apparently, there's a new student in our class. How many new students do we have? I love the sixth period since Dante, Diane, Hector, and Adolfo were in it. Sadly Marisol has a different class.
