"Serena are you kidding me!" Adolfo scolds me as I hand him my many shopping bags.
I wince as I apologize to him, "I drank that lemonade too fast."
He rolls his eyes at me. "This is the third time you stopped at the bathroom. Just go, I'll be at the food court getting myself some pigs in a blanket."
I quickly rush to the bathroom and relax my poor bladder. I try my best to finish fast so that I don't piss off Adolfo any more than he is now. I'm not dealing with his attitude all day.
Getting out I walk to the busy food court but I don't see Adolfo anywhere. "Where in the heck is he?" I say to myself as I scan the area once more. Maybe he went to the shoe store to buy himself that pair of shoes he's been talking about.
I pass by a couple making out and make my way into the shoe store that is across from the food court. Looking around I see someone else. His eyes make contact with mine and he instantly smiles. "Serena!" He greets as he makes his way over to me.
"Sebastian! Surprised to see you here." I say as I give him a quick hug. "This store doesn't really seem like your style since it's all streetwear."
"Oh, I'm here cause a friend wanted some limited edition sneakers. I dunno about this stuff so I'm just browsing." He reveals. "And you? Why are you here in an all men's shoe store?"
"Thought Adolfo would be here but I guess not," I say as I look around.
Sebastian grabs my hand and smiles, "I'll help you find him."
My eyes widen in appreciation. "Really!"
He nods his head, "bet my friend won't mind that I join you."
We head out and look for my annoying friend.
After about half an hour I slump down on a bench. "I can't go on!" I say as I wipe away a bead of sweat. There's no way he can contact me since my phone died earlier.
"Imma buy us some ice cream," Sebastian says bringing me back to reality.
"Usually I'll be more than happy to eat some ice cream but Adolfo must be worried about me. I need to go look for him." I express my concern.
Sebastian hands me his phone before walking away to get ice cream totally ignoring what I just told him. Looking at his phone I try my best to remember Adolfo's number but I come up blank.
"Here I got you a vanilla cone since I didn't remember which one you like," Sebastian says as he sits down next to me.
I smile as I take the cone, "it's rocky road, but vanilla is nice too."
Sebastian licks his cone and eyes his phone in my hand. "Did you call your friend?" He asks me changing the topic.
"Oh, no I don't remember his number. He changed it last week..." I reply kicking myself for not remembering it earlier.
"This is a nice third date you know." He swiftly says catching me off guard.
"What was the second one?" I ask him confused.
His smile widens as he turns more so that he can face me, "when we danced after the big game."
"Oh, you counted that as a date?" I ask him. I thought dates were when we schedule a time to meet up.
"Every time we hang out like this I count it as a date. I really like you, Serena." He confesses to me. "I know you feel the same way for me."
My eyes widen as my heart races. "You do?" I quietly ask him.
