Today is the day. The best day that only comes once a year. Christmas is here and I am ready. Running down the stairs I walk into the kitchen and see my mother setting down plates for breakfast. I beam at her and hug her tightly. "Good morning mother!" I excitedly say.

"Good morning?" She says sounding confused. I dance happily towards my father and kiss him on his newly shaven cheek.

"Good morning dad," I say in a singing tone.

"Buenos día mi corazón," He replies. I skipped to my seat and sit down. Not once has the smile on my face falter.

"What's wrong with her?" I overhear my mother mutter to my father.

"I don't know." He mutters back. I roll my eyes at them.

"I'm right here you know," I state. My mother nods and walks away to get a cup of coffee. "Have you guys forgotten today's Christmas?" I ask them quite shocked.

"Of course not. I have that huge tree to remind me." My mom says pointing towards the huge green tree in the corner of the living room. The ornaments and glittery garlands shimmer on the tree prideful in its beauty.

"Plus my bank account still feels the pain of all that shopping." My dad adds. I playfully glared at him.

"Half the gifts there are yours." I pointed out.  He playfully shushes me. My mother laid a plate down in front of me and tells me to eat up. Cinnamon Pancakes with strawberries, yes, please!

"Remember people are coming over for our party, so clean your room." My mom commanded. She walks away to I guess wake up Melody.

"Is that boy coming?" My dad asks.

"You mean Sebastian?" I ask him.

"Yeah, that guy." He looks at me while drinking his coffee.

"Yes, Sebastian will be coming," I say adding emphasize on his name. He mutters something in Spanish—which I didn't quite catch. Finishing up my breakfast I excuse myself and walk towards my bedroom.

"Don't forget to clean your room." My mom reminds me as she submerges from her bedroom holding a wide-awake Melody. Her big brown doe eyes look at me with curiosity.

"I know mom."

She gave me an I-Don't-Believe-you look. Fixing Melody's green shirt she walked down the stairs.

Going inside my room I call Marisol. "Hello?" Marisol answers.

"Are you guys almost here?" I ask her.

"You know my mom likes to come early so yeah we're almost there." She says.

"Okay then see you in like half an hour." I bid her goodbye. Hanging up I sigh deeply as I look at my messy room.

"Damn it, I really do hate cleaning," I mutter to myself.

I quickly change into my rose gold sparkly halter neck romper and tie on my nude heels after years of cleaning up my room. Checking myself out in my mirror I quickly fluff up my curled hair. "Not only does my room look good but so do I," I say to myself as I admire the beauty in the mirror.

"Serena! Your Padrinos are here!" My mother yells from downstairs.

"Shit," I mutter under my breath. All I need are my gold hoops! "Coming!" I shout as I search my whole closet. I open my sunglasses drawer and see my hoops sitting on top of my blue sunglasses. How did it get there?
