Chapter 36: Apologize

Renz's POV

I was in the bar counter ordering some punch. I really need to calm my nerves. Kitkat's really pissing me off. Damn!

I was so thankful because she excused herself. She went to the john and pamper herself.

Damn. I'm losing my temper earlier. Ever since I arrived at her debut, she never left my side.

Her arms are clung to mine. It makes people think that we're couples. Dammit!

But besides, I just let her do what she want because it's her birthday. I don't want her to be disappointed with me.

While I was waiting for my order, I spotted Vaness.

She's...... crying?

Why? What's her problem?

I don't want my questions unanswered so I followed her.

I followed her until I reached the main door. Oh no. She's running away.

I called her. It's raining hard for Pete's sake. She might get a headache or worse, fever.

She just ignored my call.

I hollered again. Louder... So that she can hear me.

But... she remained haughty.

I was about to give up...

but when I saw her teetering in the middle of the rain, I did all I can and let out the sinewy that I can muster.

I took a deep breath and ran towards her.

Right before she fell, I immediately caught her in my arms.

She looked so fragile. Her eyes are full of wist and despair. Tears are cascading onto her cheeks. Her forehead creased and suddenly..... she swooned.

I had no choice but to carry her in my arms.

Renz's Penthouse

I had no choice. She's sick and unconscious. I need to soothe her with remedy before she leaves.

But before I could work with my plan, she woke up.

She blinked a few times and.....

"Hoy. Asan ako? Anong ginawa mo sa akin ha? Nako. Pinagsasamantalahan mo yung pagkababae ko." There it goes. She screamed right on my face.
