Chapter 46: Popularity

Gwen's PoV

Le Touché Cafe (7:30 pm)

"Antonette, be sure to activate all the CCTV cameras you've got there, okay? I'll be there in a minute. Okay, bye." A smirk curved on my lips as I hung up the phone. I was talking to Antonette that time.

I heaved a sigh and started the engine immediately.

Five minutes later, I reached the location of the Le Touche's reign. I rummaged for a vacant spot where I can park my car....err...scratch that...Cielo's car, I mean. Okay, I admit it. I don't have my own car, not like Shaz. I just rolled my eyes by the thought.

Napabuntong-hininga na naman ako. Nakasuot ako ng sunglasses upang hindi ako makilala ni Shaz. I even tied my hair on a bun. I parked Cielo's car on the dark side of the restaurant so that no one could recognize me. Okay, here it goes.

Nakita ko sina Renz at Shaz. Nagsisimula na silang kumain. I'm just watching them from afar. I can't help not to be envious of the fun that they had together. Fuck! Don't I have the right to be happy, huh? I'm starting to detest the fact that my life was a freaking jest. Life is like photography. We really develop from the NEGATIVES. That 'negative' mantra that I'm talking about is definitely the most pathetic and grimy person I know. She was once my friend. Well, a fake one, actually.

I was about to go inside when I hear shrilling noises in it. I wanted to be updated about what is happening inside the cafe. Well, I have Antonette as my watcher. No worries. Just chill, Gwen. You definitely planned this night, you should stick to it.

*iPhone 6 ringtone*

"Yes? What's the problem?" Antonette was the one calling. I heard my rival's voice from the phone.

"Just stick to the plan, Antonette. No matter what. Yeah, I'll hung up now. Yeah, I will. Okay, bye. See you!" I hurriedly braced myself for what Antonette said. She told me that Shaz already knew the truth behind my hocus pocus.

Later that evening, nakita ko si Shaz na papalabas ng cafe. Galit at pagkamuhi ang makikita sa mukha niya. Hah! Ano Shaz? Naramdaman mo na ba ang naramdaman ko? Gaano kasakit, ha? Nag-smirk ako ng bahagya at mas lalo siyang nainis. Wahahaha! Sige lang, 'yan ang gusto ko. Laban kung laban.

Papalapit na siya sa gawi ko ngunit agad kong binuhay 'yung makina ng sasakyan ngunit pinagbabato niya pa ang kotseng hiniram ko kay Cielo. Shit! I really hate her so much. As a revenge of what she did to Cielo's car, pinaulanan ko siya ng maitim at mabahong usok. Wahahaha! Ano ha, 'kala mo papalampasin ko 'yang pamamato mo? Well, no.

Narinig ko pa ang sigaw niya bago ako makalayo. "Pwe! Puta ka talaga! 'Wag na 'wag kang magpapakita sa akin!!" Gigil na gigil niyang sigaw. Woah. I'm scared, dear. Scared, my ass. Tch

But before anything else, I saw Renz running towards her through the rearview mirror. Tsk I hate them all! Fuck!

Nandito kami ni Antonette sa isang pribadong hotel na pagmamay-ari ng pamilyang Le Touché. Pinag-uusapan namin ang nagyaring katangahan ni Shaz at Renz kanina. They really are a couple of stupidness.

Ipapakita niya rin sa akin ang video replay na nakuha ng CCTV camera na nasa cafe nila.

Napabuntong-hininga si Antonette saka nagsalita, "Hay naku, girl. Malapit na akong mahuli ni Daddy sa ginawa ko kanina. I insisted to borrow this video replay I have here dahil nga sa gagawin mong revenge sa ugly girl na 'yun. How dare her! She made a scene on our restaurant. Hindi niya ba alam na may celebrities na nakakita ng stupidity niya? Gosh. Nakakahiya siya." Antonette said while wiping off her makeup from her face.

"Thank you talaga, Antonette ah? I owe you a favor." A fake smile etched on my lip. Yeah. Nagbabait-baitan lang ako sa harapan niya o kahit sino mang nakakakilala sa akin. They never really knew my true color.

"So, here's the video na. 'Wag kang magugulat, ha?" I nodded and smiled. She immediately took her iMac and inserted the disc on it.

Video playing....

"I was the person behind the menaced note you got. But believe me, Vaness. I wanna stop you from reading it. At first, I wanted to take revenge on you. I wanted to make your life miserable." Napangisi na lang ako sa nakita ko. He admitted the truth behind all of the mess I did. Sige, mabuti 'yan. Aminin mo lahat ng kahibangan na pinagagawa mo.

"No, Vaness. Nagkakamali ka. It was Gwen. She started all of this mess. I was once her pet. She tricked me. She blackmailed me." Yeah, whatever. You deserve that, Williams.

Blah blah blah. "Uhm....Antonette?" I called her.
"Yes?" Antonette responded from the bathroom. She's having a relaxing bath. "I'll edit the original video. Is it okay? There's a part of it that I wanted to cut." I shrieked; enough for my voice to be audible.
"Sure. It's your choice. Just make sure to keep the original copy, okay? I don't want to be scolded." She replied instantly.
"Okay. You can count on me." I said. She just responded with a chuckle. Actually, ayaw ko talagang kausap si Antonette. Napakaingay niya, as in. I prefer, Cielo. She's more than better.

I finished editing the video and played it afterwards.

"I was the person behind the menaced note you got. But believe me, Vaness. I wanna stop you from reading it. At first, I wanted to take revenge on you. I wanted to make your life miserable."

At diyan nagtatapos ang confession ng isang Renz Shaun Williams. I instantly opened my FB account. Actually, hindi ko na siya ginagamit dahil wala naman talagang kwenta 'yang Facebook na 'yan. It was only made for the netizens to gather more information from a specific person. Wala nga talaga kasing privacy sa Facebook. I'm currently using Instagram dahil ito na rin ang ginagamit ng mga social elites like me. I'm just following the latest trend.

Moving on to what I am planning, dali-dali kong inupload 'yung video ni Renz.

Tingnan ko lang kung may magagawa ka pa sa akin, Newton. Wala kang makikitang ni isang bahid ng dumi sa pagkatao ko. I smiled by the thought. An evil smile, by the way.
