I giggled with glee as I flew down the miles of endless track. My brown hair whipped in the crisp afternoon winds. Red leaves fell from the droopy oak trees.
Naveah clonked clumsily behind me and Drake in her red high heels. Bad choice dear... I shook it off and enjoyed the golden orb of a sun on my skin.
"Weeeeeeee!" I cried joyously.
"Ugh! How can you have fun at a time like this?!" Drake nagged. He somehow found a way to turn his head around without becoming roadkill.
Callie just about found her way to the front of the line. Almost time... As soon as I thought that, Callie sidestepped to the front.
I bolted.
Now this was incredible.
"WHOOHOOO!!!" I screamed and did a twirl in the air.
I let both my arms fling behind me, letting myself go from the pain. This was what I was destined to do. Be free. No one could tame me now!
After a whole line of high fives, I came to the front. But I didn't stop there, everyone needed to move. They reminded me of zombies in this state.
We darted through trees, bounded over logs, and slugged through creeks. I could see Naveah in her cheerleading uniform just beside me. That girl was quite speedy for changing in full sprint. She nimbly made her way to the front.
She ran around the track for a really long time, and I think everyone was wondering the same thing. Where was Drake?
"Pick up the pace Drake! Or next we're going through your favorite forest!" Naveah commented loudly. He probably didn't hear her though.
We all hurdled over another fallen tree. And then we went through a muddy creek. Then, finally Drake came.
"C'mon Drake!" I cheered.
He made his way to the front, but he tripped on a stupid rock. We all tumbled down laughing. It was quite fun!
"Urgh, Naveah dear. Can you get off my leg?" I asked between giggles.
"Sorry Oreo," she took her foot off my leg and I stood up.
We both laughed at the tangled mess of students. It was wonderful to just let back and have some fun.
