"So, guys, don't you think Jace needs a boyfriend?" I asked my talkative friends.
Both boys shook heads with great force, their thin brows upturned with fear.
"Well, we should have told you this earlier..." Cohen shuddered.
"Yeah, Jace..." Ben continued.
"Sorta. Kinda. Maybe...hates..." Cohen gritted his teeth.
"...Boys..." Ben finished.
"Oh," I said, "sorry I asked."
They both held hands, their heads were slumped down. Their thick brown eyes twinkled with sadness and despair.
"He was a good boy..." they whimpered in union.
"His rosy cheeks...they...they became purple in one hit," Ben sobbed.
"Wha-"
"THOSE EYES...THOSE BIG BLUE EYES WERE ALL HE SAW," Cohen screeched.
"Um, Boys-"
"HE NEVER SAW THE LIGHT AGAIN..." they hugged tightly at the last words.
"Oh...kay..." I began, "So Jace, killed him?!"
"Nah, he only was in a coma for eight years..." Ben shrugged.
"...And he hit his head so hard he got amnesia..." Cohen continued.
"Oh yeah! I think she blasted his vocal chords too!" Ben remembered.
"...Yup, and I think both his legs were paralyzed..." Cohen sighed.
"Okay! Okay! I get it!" I said.
The two boys looked at me again with the same light as before.
"Do you get our point?" Cohen asked.
"Yes, yes I do. But I'm a romance expert," I bragged.
"Oooohhhhhhh..." both boys nodded.
We kept walking down the hall.
"I think I can help her..." I started.
Ding...ding...ding...ding...ding...ding...ding...
"Ugh! Warrior run! Catch you guys later!" I waved and dashed down to the track.
