Today was Thursday, the day Madam Harvey gave me my clearance for training again. Oreo was really excited, she was bringing me to my dragon. I hardly contained my excitement.
As she led me through the stables I kept asking her questions.
"What color?"
"You will see!"
"Boy or girl?"
She stayed silent.
"Whatever," I muttered.
She led me to the end of the stables. Next to a red dragon..... I cringed. I have heard enough of Lyze's talking about the " Red-Hoods" who's color was red. Supposedly red was the color of the enemy.
Next to the red dragon "Star" was a green dragon. She was a girl. Girl dragons eyes where tilted more then boys....
"She's yours." Oreo said
"Really!" I asked " Thank you thank you thank you!"
I jumped over the gate to the stall to get to my dragon. She made a chatting sound as I patted her.
I smiled. The perfect name came to mind. Yzera! I stroked her neck. " Yzera. How long have you been here. In this stall?" I whispered. She could move, but she couldn't fly, not even hover in this small space.
Of course she didn't answer but her magic clip board did:
Name:Yzera
Breed:Green
Age: flightling
Stall age ( put into stall. );2 months
Two months? In a cage? Alone? Oreo opened the gate and hoped over. "Let's ride. Saddle er up and meet me at the Take Off. " I nodded and grabbed her saddle off of the wall. I put it on Yzera and led her out of the stables. I met Oreo on one of the cliffs called Take Off. I got into the saddle and put the straps over my legs and my feet in the stirrups.
" Watch." Oreo said. " lean forward, and stand up a bit. And she will take off. "
I did what Oreo told me and Yzera took off, plunging downward into the cliff. About 10 meters away from the bottom she opened her wings and sailed upwards.
In the sky, with no cliff walls, I could tell this is the first time she was rode. She tilled slightly against headwinds.
Oreo got beside me. " Nice!" We where circling above the school now, around the bell tower. It was about to ring too. For next class.
" What's your next class Oreo!" I asked " I have 'Magical Baking Basics"
" Me too! And I heard today..." She trailed off and looked at me. " Oreos! Lovespells I heard." .
The bell rang once. " We have ten minutes to get the dragons back in. " she said as she plunged towards the stables. We put our dragons in the stables and ran for class. Oreo love spells.
But then I got side tracked and decided to ride Yzera some more. Who needed a cooking class anyway?
