Platform Three -Drake-

"Oreo, you know I'm supposed to be at a training session with Lyze right now, Right?"

" Why did you make me walk all the way over here then?! " Oreo glared. We where walking through the stables.

"I totally forgot! If I'm late..... What happens if your late?" I asked

" you get to clean the stables. I mean, I should know."

" but it's my first time here! First impressions?" I asked.

Oreo turned to me. " Blimey, I was enjoying our time together. Okay. Meet me here at free time."

"But it's my first time here!"

"Nope. you're a goner with one slip up."

"Well then, I've gotta go!"

Oreo grabbed me by the shoulder before I ran off. "Meet me at the stables at free period." She said.

"YES!" I exlaimed as I sprinted out and to the training area. It had three floors. The ground layer was cushioned, the next up glass, and above that.... I couldn't tell.

" Your here." I flipped around and Lyze landed in front of me. " Let's get started." He walked past me to the other side. He disappeared to the other side of the arena. He returned with two girls. Flora and Nevaeh!

" You two will be training together today." Started Lyze. " You two will be practice fighting. You two can hurt each other, bloody each other, cut each other excetra excetra. You two will be sent to the infirmary after this anyways for a check up. So Madam Harvy will give you her all purpose healing potion to get rid of buiuses and cuts afterwords."

I gaped . What kind of place was this?

" Nevaeh, right side, Drake left. When the bell goes off you can start."

We made our ways to our sides of the court.

The bell went off.

I sprang up a ladder closest to me to a glass platform. Nevaeh was running at me, claws gleaming. That's when I realized. Make her pay for all the teasing. Even if she is older than you. I headed at her full speed. Diving at her stomach I reached my hands in front of me.

She backed up, dodging my attack. I was on my stomach now. Nevaeh advanced.

I got up on my feet, and she lunged. I fumbled with my big, claws that I was not used to. She soon got me across the stomach. My heart was in my throat. She's gonna kill me!

I ran to the nearest ladder. I jumped up it and got to the top. Ice! This ones ice!

"Careful Drake!" Lyze called from below. Nevah was up the ladder now. She jabbed with be claws and I fell backwards. Sliding towards the edge I started to panic.

"Nevaeh!" Flora called " Stop that this instant!"

I tumbled over the edge. I fell a few feet before grabbing hold of one of the glass platforms, which was still another good 15 feet off the ground.

"Drake!" Flora called but Lyze elbowed her.

"it's his first session. Let him learn the dangers of Platform Three." He said. I tried to pull myself up but my claws where slipping on the smooth glass.

"Have fun Dorky!" Nevaeh called from above. My fingers left the edge.

"Drrrraaakkkkeeeee." Oreo said sing songed.

I groaned. Opening my eyes i noticed I was in the Infermary. Light was pouring through the
windows.

"Hi." I said " Sorry about missing Free Time."

" Not my fault you didn't get to ride a dragon." I scowled.

I looked down at myself. I was in a blue patients gown thingy with penguins on it(yuck), and and covered in blankets. In my arm was an IV. My pointer finger had a pulse reader. My claws where laying on a nightstand beside me.

"Good! Your awake." A short woman who was about my higher came over. "I'm Madam Harvy as you now know. The reason your here is 1. You broke your collar bone, two ribs, and your left leg on your fall. 2. Because you need a checkup before you start your other training classes here. So you have two options. You can either let me use a bone regrow potion on you or you can wait almost a year to be able to do training again."

"Ummmm." I said, scratching my head. " Bone Regrow?" I said

Oreo gasped.

Madam Harvey turned to her. " I let him choose, didn't I? If I hadn't he would have been laying here for another week. Drake, I will give you what you need to be able to heal completely before Thursday at sundown, when Madam Elezia, Nevaeh's Aunt, begins playing her sundown songs on the harp. It will help you sleep."

Hours later the sun was starting to set. I was starving, and I wasn't allowed to have food until 10 hours after the Bone Regrow was in my system.

Madam Harvey walked up to me with a purple cup in her hand. She sat my bed up, and handed the goo to me. " Drink up." As I swallowed the last drop of goo I started to know why Oreo gasped after i made my decision.

" This will teach you to go on Platform Three." She said as she she left the room. I held back a yell as I felt my bones shifting slowly. Slower than a slug. 1000 times slower than the slowest slow motion.

Worst decision I ever made.
