My next class was with a girl who has not had any training in combat, like me. I had never seen her mentor before, a tall lady in a tie die dress.
" You two will be dueling today. There is only one rule. Beware of Platform Three. To your sides then start when the bell rings." Lyze announced somewhat formally from a spectators stand.
I walked to my side.
Ding ding of bell
I climbed up the ladder. We where on the same sheet of glass. Stabbing at eachother and dodging, this was fair. That's when and idea struck. I she started to win, I would shatter the glass! I snorted at the idea and kept attacking. She was my skill level. We both where scratched. I jabbed her chest, she jabbed my head. It went on like this, her mimicking me, for a few minutes before I started attacking.
"Go Arro!" I said. He swooped down distracting the girl while I attacked . With both of us attacking she was losing, and losing horribly. Soon a snowy owl, I was assuming her Seeker swooped down and engaged in combat with Arro.
She turned to me and charged. I barely reflected her blows. Then I ran to the other side. I plunged my claws into the glass and a web of cracks appeared. Just as the glass shattered I jumped onto the ice.
The girl fell, showered in razor sharp glass. I looked up. Arro and the snowy where fighting, but Arro seemed unharmed, the snowy was almost soaked pure red.
Ding ding of bell
"STOP!" Lyze yelled " STOP STIP STOP! THATS ENOUGH!" I looked down at him. He nodded and I jumped down, rolling, and standing up uncut from the glass.
"You win." He said, patting me on the shoulder.
" about time." I joke.
The girl stood up from the glass, walked over, and shook my hand.
"Good game." She said and walked out.
"Go clean up. Free period, then Dinner Hall, then Water Class. Have fun!" Lyze said as I walked out of the room.
Finally, some time to yourself. Arro whispered.
But, What should I do? I wondered.
