Red What? -Nevaeh-

"RED HOOD ALERT" my fellow coal members were yelling.

We had just been in training class, so everyone still had on their black jumpsuits. The girls had sleeveless ones. During battle though, there was a way to twist your claw and the suit would catch fire, not harmful to you but harmful to your enemies. I quite liked it.

I turned to Liam.

"What are the Red Hoods?"

"A super dangerous group that threatens our existence. Now shush and prepare for battle."

Just then, Flora came in, grabbed my hand, and pulled me into the rooms storage closet.

"Look, Nevaeh. The Red Hoods are a society that believes in violence and chaos. When the Red Hoods come to attack, our divisions prepare for battle, all in their special ways. Coal, which is us, stays and battles hand to hand. Fli takes to the sky and air strikes. Spi watches the Red Hoods moves, documents them, then traps them."

"So your saying I need to get out there and kick some Red Hoo..."

"No!" Flora cut me off. "Exactly the opposite. You were selected to a division young, and only upperclassmen are allowed to fight. All the normal young ones go to the bunkers. But you, Drake, and Oreo are all going to hide in your classroom closets, okay?"

"But I wanna..."

"No. If I see you out there, you'll face serious punishment. And don't touch anything in here. The division's valuables are in here." She kissed the top of my head and walked out.

I illuminated my jumpsuit for light. There was a black dress, a crown and a claw made of coal. It must've belonged to Coal's leader, Gaby. I never see her though, she's always at events and meetings.

"Woah," I whispered.

I disobeyed Flora's request and pulled the dress off its hanger. I changed into it. I braided my normally ponytailed hair into a side braid that stretched to halfway down my stomach.

Then, I picked up the claw. I didn't think the claw would fit, since it had already been accustomed to an owner. Yet I slipped it on. It fit perfectly.

My shaking hand hit the doorknob. I emerged into a line of Coals. I pushed my way dead center in the line. They all stared. I doubt any of them recognized me. I didn't look or seem like myself.

I twisted the claw into place.

The claw burst into flames, though I not burned. The bottom of my dress swept the ground with tongues of fire.

A collection of gasps filled the room.

All the Coals twisted their claws, and their suits caught fire.

A lump formed in my throat, yet I swallowed it down. I hollered.

"Attack on 3, 1...2...3...ATTACK!"
