I stand in my mirror staring at myself. I'm kind of second guessing about going. What if he thinks I'm boring. Or what if I look so bad. I look over my outfit one more time. The white tank top and a deep green denim jacket complimented the dark blue jeans I was wearing. I let my long hair hang down.

I walk out of the bathroom before I change my mind and put pyjamas on and lay in my bed. I make my way downstairs. My nerves are racking higher by the minute. I want this to be a date so bad, but I know it's not. I take a seat on my couch waiting for Calum to pick me up. I'm not really sure what expect from tonight. I hear footsteps coming up the stairs and my breathing stops. The door suddenly flies open and my mom, dad, and my sister walk in. I mentally curse for forgetting they were going to be home, and now they'll ask a ton of questions. "Hey honey." My mom approaches me. "Hey, I didn't know Kayla was coming home." My dad and her are already in the kitchen. "Yeah it was a last minute thing. She's just staying the night and I'll drive her back tomorrow." I nod. "I'm going out tonight." Her smile fades as the words come out of my mouth. "I don't want you going out, your sister just got here." My dad comes into the living room, and he senses the tension. "What's wrong?" He questions. "She wants to go out tonight." My mom crosses her arms. "I didn't know Kayla was going to be home."

"We should let her go." My mom whipped her head towards my dad, obviously annoyed he didn't pick her side. "She didn't know Kayla was going to be home and she made these plans prior, we can't just do that. Plus Kayla will be back in a few weeks."

There was a sudden knock on the door, which caused me stand up immediately. I walk over to the door and open it quickly to find Calum standing there. He was wearing his usual black skinny jeans, with his usual black shirt and a white and black flannel I've never seen before. He was breathtakingly beautiful. "Hey." He gave me a soft smile. I finally realized I was just staring at him. "Bye!" I yell behind me and rush out the door. "What's the rush?" He asked while he trails behind me. "Trust me, you don't want to stay any longer and talk to my parents." I stand and wait on the passenger side of his black range rover. I'm pretty surprised he has a range rover, and he's not even out of high school yet. The door clicks indicating it was unlocked. I open the door and hop in. I put the seat belt on and place my phone on my lap. Calum starts the car and backs out of my drive way. "Where are we going?"

"Do you like pizza?"

"Who doesn't?"

"True." He chuckles.

He pulls up to a little pizzeria on the edge of town. I get out of the car following him in. The host smiles instantly when she sees us walk in. "For how many?" She asks sweetly. "Two." Calum replies. She grabs the menus and starts walking in the direction of the table. We take a seat near the back by a large painting. "You'll server with be right with you." She says before walking away. "What kind of pizza do you like?" I look up from my menu to meet Calum's eyes. "I like pepperoni bacon."

"Great me too, wanna share a pizza?"

"Sure."

The waitress comes with two ice waters; she places them down and grabs her note pad. "Can I get you anything other than water?" She asks. "I'm okay." I say. She looks at Calum and he shakes his head. "Are you ready to order?"

"Yes. We are going to share a medium pepperoni and bacon pizza." Calum says handing her his menu. I follow his actions before she leaves. "So why did you end up moving here?" Calum asks.

"My dad had some options for his job, and since my auntie lives here my mom wanted to." I explain.

"Makes sense." I take a sip of my water, it felt so good for something cold to go down. "That's how you and Tate are cousins?"
