I look over my appearance once more in my car window, and deciding it's good enough. I let out a long breath before walking toward the arcade. Once I step into the cool building; different colour lights flash from the games, the sound of people talking can be heard, and the different noises from the games are surrounding me. I actually really like arcades, always had, but today it felt very different for me. My eyes finally meet Ashton's warming and welcoming ones.

"You weren't waiting long right?" I ask once I reach him.

"No, just got here a few minutes before you did." He gives me a warm smile.

"Good."

"Shall we?" He turns his to look at all the games.

"There's so many to chose from." I feel overwhelmed by the amount of games surrounding us.

"Wanna shoot hoops?" He turns his head and gives me a sly smile. I turn my head and look up at him because he was much taller than me. "You're going down." I smirk.

"You're so on!" He grabs my hand and pulls me towards the game.

He places tokens in both machines, and the balls are released. I quickly start grabbing the balls and throwing into the hoops. In this moment I'm glad that my dad took me out all the time to shoot hoops.

The timer stops and I look over at Ashton's score; I smile knowing that my score was higher.

"I told you!" I tease.

"Whatever, you started before I did." He smirks.

"And a sore loser." He lightly pushes me as a joke.

I let out laugh as I turned my head to the left, and what catches my eyes makes my smile drop slightly. Ashton notices and turns his head in the direction mine was. Hally was standing there with her friends laughing. She was wearing the shortest black skirt, and a tight white crop top. I turn my head down to look at me feet.

"Do you think Calum's coming?"

"I don't know, but hey lets not let this ruin our time." He wraps his arm around my shoulder. I look at him and nod; his lips break into smile. He nods his head in the opposite direction. As we start walking something makes me turn my head towards the door: in doing so Calum walks right through it. As soon as he walks in Hally greets him with a hug. I haven't realized I stopped walking until Ashton asks what's wrong. He looks over to see what has stopped me and he sighs. "You can't let that bother you." I keep staring at them as he places his hand on her lower back. He whispers something in her ear that makes her giggle. This is honestly the most disgusting thing I've ever laid my eyes on.

"Taylor look at me." Ashton says sternly. I turn my head to meet his eyes.

"You can't give them the satisfaction of you being effected by them. You need to make it seem like you moved on. You can't make it seem like he won."

I nod my head. "You're totally right."

"Wanna play a round of pool?"

"Sure." I hesitate.

"Why the hesitation?" He looks concerned.

"I've never played before." I admit.

"Nice, something I can kick your ass in." He gives me a cheeky smile. "Shut up." I push him playfully as I walk towards the pool table. I pick up a pool stick from the table and I instantly start chalking it.
