Taylor
Monday came rolling fast, and I was actually looking forward to it; not that I wanted to see Calum or anything. He sat next to me in chemistry and cracked jokes all class, he wasn't closed off or a dick, so that was a good sign. My whole idea of Calum is turning around, and now I find myself wanting to be near him. I still can't shake that he still has a very big secret. He's very sensitive when conversation turns into something about parents. I would really like to know why, mostly because I'm very nosy but I feel if I know what he's hiding, I can know the real him and understand him better.
"Hey you coming to lunch?" Tate interrupts my thoughts. I now realize I've been standing in front of my locker staring into it; must have looked really weird. "Not today."
"Okay I'll see you later."
I grab my headphones from my binder and shut my locker. My legs move towards the exit; as soon as I'm out side the sun greets me. I walk over to the field and plop down on the grass. I plug my headphones into my phone, I hit the shuffle button and place my phone on my stomach. There's a light breeze to cool you down a bit from the warm sun. I close my eyes to soak it all up. I could fall asleep out here. Suddenly I don't feel the warmth anymore and it has gotten darker than usual. I peek open one eye to find Calum standing over me with a goody smile. "Hi there." I couldn't help but smile. "You're blocking my sun."
"Wow. You're being awfully rude today." He sits down right next to my head.
"I'm sorry Calum."
"All is forgiven."
"So what are you doing?" I question, wondering why he's not with his friends. Not that I don't like that he's here, its just not usual.
"Talking to you."
"No I mean why are you here?"
"I just wanted to come hang out with you." He tries to sound offended about me asking.
"Really Calum?"
"Ugh, fine. Well Michael went home like he usually does. Then Ashton and Luke went to mcdons, and I didn't want to go. So I was making my way to the school and I spotted someone I really wanted to talk to." My cheeks heated up a bit when the last few words came out. "Then I found you."
I roll my eyes and smack him in the arm. "Ow! I'm kidding." He laughs.
"You better be." I smile widely.
"So what are you doing out here?"
"Well, I decided I wanted to be outside."
"I see."
The breeze picks up and I get a whiff of his cologne; which causes me to melt. I feel at this moment it should be awkward, but it's not. Just sitting here with Calum makes me feel warm inside, and I'm not sure if I starting to get feelings for him yet.
"Hey Calum!" A voice calls from the distance, Calum and I turn our heads at the same time. A tall guy with very tight black jeans with a black sleeveless shirt is walking towards us. He has a red bandana wrapped at the top of his hair, and I have to admit he is very attractive. But not as much as Calum.
I glance over at Calum; his face remains calm. I thought he would be panicked to be seen with me from his last reaction. "Hey Ashton." He smiles looking up at him. Ashtons' eyes meet mine and he smiles. "Who might this be?"
"This is Taylor. Taylor this is Ashton."
"Nice to meet you."
"Likewise." I give him a small smile.
