Calum

"I'm not going to be able to make the party tomorrow." I look at Michael from across me. "Why?" I question. "I just some stuff to do." He mumbles. Lately Michael has been acting a lot different, and it's scaring me a bit. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm good." I can tell he's lying to me, and it hurts a bit. I don't want him to lie to me, I thought I was the one person that he could talk to. "Oh okay." I try not sound hurt, but he catches. "Calum, I-"

"Hey guys!" Ashton chirps as he takes a seat with us.

"Hey Ash." I take a sip of my water.

"I feel tension."

"There is none." Michael covers up.

"Okay. Anyways the party tomorrow is going to be the best."

"You say that about every party."

"I know, but..."

My eyes catch Taylor as she walks out of the school. Every thing within warms up. These feelings I have towards her are something very foreign to me. I'm still very disappointed that we didn't kiss on Monday night. I can't lie that I have some sort of feelings towards to her. I was about to get up and walk over to her, but some guy runs up to her. He hands her something and she smiles while her mouth moves. "Who is that?"

Ashton looks in the direction I was. His mouth lifts in a smirk. "That's Roman. I heard he asked her to go to the party."

"Oh well she doesn't go to party."

Ashton chuckles, "Calum man she said yeah."

I feel my blood heat up. Why the fuck would she say yes to him?

"He sits by her in photography. I heard they have a thing for each other." He keeps talking.

"Can you shut up." I snap.

He puts his hands up in there. "Sorry didn't know it was a sensitive subject." He grins.

"You're a dick." I get up from the table and walk towards my car.

I actually thought she liked me. I thought she was different from the other girls, but I guess I was totally wrong. I pull out my phone I click on Hallys name.

"Hey Calum." I can tell she smiling

"Hey wanna come to the party with me tomorrow?"

"Of course."

"Alright I'll pick you up at nine, bye." I hang up before I have to hear more of her annoying voice. I don't want to go to a party with her, but if Taylor wants to play it that way so can I.

Taylor

Calum avoided me all day at school today, even when I asked him if he was going to that party tonight. I was gonna tell him I was actually going, but he acted like I didn't exist. It really hurt, I thought we were making improvements. I even texted him and he just read my message. It was making me upset and angry at the same time. "I'm so happy you said you would come to the party with me." Tate beams.

Truth is, I only agreed in hope that Calum would be there. But now I'm just dreading going. I suck it up and and put I smile on my face. "Me too."

"What time do you want me to pick you?"

"Whenever."

"How about nine? They really don't start until that time."

"Okay I'll see you later."

I walk the direction of my house putting a headphone in my ear. I would really like to stay home and watch netflix.

--

I put on a dark pair of blue skinny jeans, with a long sleeved shirt. I rush to the bathroom and brush my hair. I touch up my makeup quickly. I wasn't suppose to fall asleep but I did, and Tate is on her way. I look over myself in the mirror one time and decide it's just going to have to work. I flick off the light and rush back into my room. I spray some perfume all over myself. I grab my phone and slip it into my back pocket. The door bell rings and I now panic. It's actually happening. I'm going to a party. I run down the stairs almost tripping on the last step, I think there's something wrong with the step because I always almost trip. I reach the door and pull it open. Tate is standing there in in black leggings and a grey crop top. "You look nice."

"Thanks so do you." I shoot her a smile. I place my shoes on and walk out the door. I turn around and lock it before we continue.

I hop into her car placing my seat belt on. My mind is racing as she drives to our destination. It's more than likely that Calum will be there. I really want to ask why he's been avoiding me.

"We're here."

I look out the window to see a huge house. The front yard has many people holding drinks and talking to one another. "It's going to be packed." Tate smiles. Great.

We walk through the people to get inside. I follow behind Tate as we walk in. The music is blaring through the speakers. There's bodies everywhere, and the smell of alcohol and sweat is very strong. "Hey Taylor." Aidrian greets. "Hello."

Olivia and Kate then stand beside her. Kate looks at me with disgust, which doesn't affect me in any way, she's just a bitch. "I need a drink." Tate says as she walks to the kitchen. "Hey Roman." Kate grins. I turn my head to see Roman now standing beside me. He's wearing blue jeans with a grey shirt. His hair is perfectly jelled to the side. "Hey." He gives her a tight smile. "Hello Taylor." He smiles at me. "Hey how are you?" I question. "I'm good thanks, you?"

"I'm good yeah."

I see that Kate, Olivia, and Aidrian have left. I'm a bit grateful because I can't stand Kate. "You look very nice."

"Why thank you."

I feel a pair of eyes burning through me, and I have this instinct to turn my head. Once I do my eyes meet Calum's, and he looks very pissed off. "Can I get you a drink?" My eyes leave his to look at Roman. "That would be nice, thanks."

"Be right back."

I look over to where Calum was; he is no longer standing there. I sigh, this is going to be a long night.
