Georgie's POV

I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and prepared for the exciting day that would be ahead. I was starting to adjust to being alone in a big house; I had explored every room, finding incredible places that I wish I had seen as a kid. I was happy, and I was starting to enjoy being here, I could dance around the house with my music playing as loud as it could, I felt confident to wear what I wanted without being told to change. I was free.

I got dressed differently today, I found some black skinny jeans that had been left in the bottom of my suitcase and tried them on, finding them surprisingly comfortable and making my legs look great. I also found a scruffy checked flannel shirt, but I didn't want to go too far, so I just threw on a plain dark green sweater and tied my hair up in a messy bun. I walked out of my room and skipped downstairs, turning the speakers on in the kitchen and flicking on the kettle. The speakers started to play some of my old music that was still on my phone, which was completely new to me. I continued to make coffee whist jamming out to it, humming along as I stirred in sugar. I leaned against the counter and took a sip, smiling away to myself, when I heard the doorbell suddenly. I paused my music and checked the time, it was gone lunch. It was probably Michael, which made me smile even more.

I rushed to the front door and pulled it open, staring out onto the gravel driveway to seven teenagers standing in front of me. "Georgie" They all grinned, looking very tired and restless. "Hi guys, come in" I laughed, opening the door and they all queued to come in. "Gwyn" I hugged her tightly as her and Calum passed through first. I gave him a happy nod, before Gwyn let go and looked around inside. "Tink, Luke" I laughed, hugging them both quickly and saying our hellos as they walked past. "Cat" I giggled, high fiving her and complimenting her hair. After Cat, Michael stood in the door way, dropping his bag down and wrapping his arms around my waist the moment he was me. "Hi" I sighed, moving my hands around his neck and resting my head on his shoulder. "Hey" He whispered, our embrace lasting for quite some time. I got used to this very quickly, I didn't want to let go. "Blondie" There was a shout from behind Michael. I pulled away and burst out into laugher as Ashton rushed over and scooped me up. "Glasses" I giggled, letting go after he had put me down and closing the front door once everyone was inside.

Most of them were in the living room, sprawled out on the sofa from exhaustion. I came in and sat down beside Gwyn, smiling at all of them as they yawned. "Where are your parents?" Ashton spoke up. "They went on holiday for a few weeks" I shrugged. Ashton frowned and shook his head. "But it's your birthday" I grinned at him comfortingly. "It's alright, it just means that I can have a huge party, which I'm doing" I smirked. Everyone turned their heads and gave me the same sort of smile. "That sounds great, are we invited?" Calum raised his voice, rubbing his eyes. "Of course" I grinned. We stayed on the sofas for the rest of the day, and they told me all these stories about Australia and the adventures, even some had me in it. I felt slightly sad, that they had all already done so much with their lives, and they want even more. They want fame, for everyone to know who they are, they seemed determined to get it. I didn't have any dreams, I haven't travelled the world like they have, and I felt like I would have to compete for their friendship.

"We're going to have an early night" Tink yawned, stretching before dragging a sleepy Luke off the sofa. It was getting dark and everyone was slowly drifting off to sleep. "Sure, pick any bedroom" I waved them off and they both disappeared into the hallway. "Yeah, I think we should turn in too, I feel a bit sick" Gwyn gave me a hug, before her and Calum left the room holding hands. Ashton was snoring, and Cat carefully crept over to him, standing over his body. She jumped swiftly onto his chest and he woke abruptly. "You little shit" He growled, jumping off the sofa and chasing her out of the room.

"Merry Christmas" I said, smirking, before jumping onto his stomach. He let out a groan before pushing me off and bursting into laughter just like me. "Merry Christmas" he said too, sighing with content. I sat up from where I had been shoved over to my half of the bed and went over to straddle him, bringing our faces close together. He chuckled before he placed his lips on mind, and I felt him smile into the kiss as I began to move my fingers through the soft, fluffy, black hair. He placed his hands on my waist, squeezing gently and making me let out a small giggle and breaking the kiss. He pouted and frowned at me, making me laugh more, before he shoved me off him again. This only led me into fits of giggles and Michael pretending to be annoyed at me.

Seconds later the bedroom door flew open and Gwyneth and Calum came rushing in and jumped onto us both on the bed. "It's Christmas!" They squealed like little kids and jumped up and down and pulled at our arms trying to get us out of bed as if we were their parents. Me and Mike groaned and laughed before giving into their nagging and allowing ourselves to be pulled out of bed and then out of our bedroom and into the living room.

The only ones left now were me and Michael, and his eyes were closed as he lay quietly on the sofa next to me. I got off the sofa and sat down on the floor in front of him. His faded green stripes in his black hair were flattened on his forehead, he looked so peaceful. I lifted my hand up and brushed away the strands covering his closed eyes with the gentle touch of my fingers. "Michael" I whispered, smiling over him. His eyes fluttered a few seconds later and I pulled my hand away from his face. Without opening his eyes, Michael caught my hand before it left his reach, entwining his fingers with mine. "George" he groaned, and his eyes started to open, looking straight at me. He had a small smirk on his face, as he squeezed my hand. "Shall we have that talk now? Everyone's gone to bed" I stared into his cloudy eyes, my smile still managing to grow. "Kitchen" He suggested, propping himself up. I nodded and stood up, still holding his hand, and pulling him up with me. We both laughed way too hard, as he fell towards me and I had to catch him. We paused for a second, staring at each other as we were chest to chest, breathing heavily and staring at one another. "Come on" I brushed it off and let go of him, showing to the kitchen.
