Taylor's P.O.V.
After the whole falling-out-of-the-boat debacle, Thomas and I finally managed to actually get in the boat without causing a splash. Once we had finally convinced Molly that the boat wasn't going to sink, and that it was perfectly safe, she got in with us, and sat on the edge of her seat, still clutching her heels. To make her feel extra protected, Thomas sat beside her with his arms tightly around her. I couldn't believe how pathetic she was! Still, I kept my mouth shut and focused on the lake. I couldn't believe how late it already was. The sun had already begun to set, lighting up the lake in an array of pinks and oranges. Sparkles of light reflected in the water, shone like small underwater stars, and I couldn't help but watch them distantly, as we let the boat gently float on the water. My thoughts became so lost with the lasting rays of sunlight, that I didn't even notice Thomas call my name.

"Taylor? Taylor?" I felt someone tap my arm.

"Mm?" I turned my body to face him.

"Come on, love," He held out his hand, "We've got to go." Shocked, I looked around me and realised that we'd already made it back to the pier. Reluctantly, I took Thomas' hand and let him lead me out of the boat. Molly, as usual, was complaining when I joined her. She had a blanket wrapped around her shoulders, and her heels back on her feet.

"Why. Is. It. So. Cold?" She muttered, hopping from one foot to the other as we waited for Thomas.

"Two reasons," I sighed, "Number one, you're wearing hardly any clothes," I looked down at Molly's high waist shorts and crop top. Seriously? It's freakin February.

"And number two," I went on, "The sun's gone down."

"No, really?!" She remarked sarcastically, "I hadn't noticed." A sudden grin grew on her face when Thomas came up behind us. She greeted him with a quick peck on the lips, before wrapping her arms around his torso.

"You coming, Taylor?" He smiled at me,

"What? Oh, yeah," I said quietly, walking slowly after them, "I'm coming." Now, the walk to the campsite was far from enjoyable. Every few minutes, Molly would let out scream and jump into Thomas' arms.

"What was that?" She yelped, looking sharply around her. When she heard it again, she buried her head in Thomas' chest and whimpered slightly,

"Molly, for the fifth time," He sighed, "It's just the twigs on the ground."

"You sure?" She asked quietly from the depths of Thomas' jacket.

"As sure as he was five minutes ago." I growled from in front of them. I knew Molly was bound to be staring daggers at me right now, but I'd honestly had enough. The sooner I got to my tent and could go to sleep, the better.

Later that night...

I could not sleep. I'd been trying for the past four hours, and it was bloody hopeless. No matter how many times I tossed and turned, I just couldn't sleep. Groaning, I pulled off my covers, and poked my head out of the tent. The air was fresh outside, unlike the stuffy air inside my tent. Quickly grabbing a jumper from my bag, I threw it on and stepped outside. Yawning, I headed towards one of the logs that lay next to our campsite and perched myself on it, looking out over the lake. A pale spotlight of moonlight had been cast over the lake and the woods in the distance, creating a sort of creepy atmosphere. But then again, as I gazed up at the navy blue abyss above me, any sense of anything creepy vanished, and I became lost in the sea of stars above.

"Can't sleep?" Jumping, I whipped round to see a very sleepy Thomas step out of his tent and walk towards me.

"God, Thomas," I breathed, "You made me jump!"
